Help with BFB2 xfire

Hello all!

 

I'm having a great time on the BFB2 server...but I notice that xfire does not work in game like it does for me in COD4 and WaW.  Is there something I have to tweak in settings??? I was wanting to get a SS of my 11 knife kill dogtags and found out I couldn't get one to work .  I tried to use "print screen" but I goofed that up too.

 

Any suggestions...I'd like it if xfire would work like normal....maybe they don't actually have it patched right yet for this game?  I'm running Vista.

 

oh...and use the KISS method please .... I'm computer-challenged!

I tried to fix Rugger's XFire before but havent seen him online anymore........ (j/k).

 

What you can try is to check XFire and put the game on "manual" detection;

Xfire - Tools - Options - Games.

 

And if that doesnt work to play arround with dx9 or dx10 rendering (also in Xfire - Tools - Options - Games) at Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

 

If that doesnt work you can try to locate a file called "Settings.ini" in your Documents "BFBC2"folder there and open that file with Notepad(++) and change :

 

DxVersion=Auto

 

to

 

DxVersion=9
