Archeologists would probably cringe at the excavation techniques, or lack thereof, used by these guys, but what a cool piece of history they uncovered.  Imagine being a part of the detail responsible for cleaning up that battlefield and dumping all those weapons in that hole.  How may corpses lie in that area, and what was life like in the aftermath of battle.
