Hey All! I hope all is well. I am getting ready to build the "PEACE MAKER" that's the name of my new computer. I was hoping to get some input on the following parts if they are any good. CPU i7-4970 4-core 3.6ghz, MSI Z97 Gaming5 MB, MSI GeForce GTX 970 DirectX 12 4gb, HyperX Savage 2×8gb Ram, HyperX Savage 2.5" 120gb SataIII SSD, Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB, Seasonic M12II 750SS power supply, Asus 24×DVD Burner, Case NZXT Phan-001RD Red Steel. If I can't kick ass with it at least I can DIE in style.

Get a bigger SSD drive.......it will be full in no time.

Get a second regular drive to use as program storage.

I try to install all my big programs on my 1000 gig storage drive and I still have only 30 gigs left on my SSD.

My computer only takes 17 seconds to boot though.....

What Artie said is spot on...I started with a 120GB and had to get a 240GB...The good thing is the price has come way down since I had to upgrade...

Yes get a 256 SSD. Use it for programs that you know will only be installed once and wont be removed. OS obviously. Photoshop etc if you have that. Get a regular HDD as a secondary for programs that may come and go or you dont use very often. Personally, I use mine for games also since their space requirements are large especially with maps and such. Also anything requiring large files like video editing, ripping, music and all of that. Maybe I dont need to be so careful with an SSD but I figure the fewer writes to it the better.

edit: Oh and be sure you set up space on the HDD for the various big temporary files used by editors. Not the C drive. Also, download to it instead of to the SSD.
