The "only" way is to fully prestige,then you will have the option to reset your rank.

That seems to be a problem with the dedicated servers ever since the "surprise" update to add new game types.The servers don't seem to have the new file.You'll have to play on the p2p servers as no one plays on the dedi's anyway.

Power supply is a little small and the sound card is too old.Audigy se is not that great with Windows 7

It's back up,played one game and it puked again!

Same exact thing for me,steam cloud service must be down.Last I checked before steam self destructed,the servers were still showing the wrong version.

You can run this tool (WhoCrashed) to read the mini dump file created from the blue screen; www.resplendence.com/downloads I would guess either video card overheating or power supply.

That's not saying you need on I7 to run the card,that's the minimum you need if you had those components.Your Enermax psu has a 50amp 12volt rating,so shouldn't be a problem.I always go overboard on psu's because they lose some of their rated output as they age,(if it has more than 2 pci-e connectors try another one as it might be on a different rail). If the card is EVGA,call tech support and if they can't figure it out they'll give you an RMA EVGA support- 1-888-880-EVGA(3842)

Looking at your installed programs list,you need to reinstall the video drivers and choose custom installation.Only install the driver and physx,do not install the hd audio driver.

How did you install the drivers?Only instal driver and physx,no HD audio.If the card was factory overclocked,try turning it down to stock speeds or bumping up the voltage a little bit.

Nvidia's drivers have a clean install option but it will not clean ATI drivers.My guess is that you have leftovers from your old drivers. I use Driver Sweeper when switching between ATI and Nvidia. You can use gpu-z to see the cards temperature and EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner or Nvidia Inspector to monitor and control the fan speed. For your psu requirement,keep in mind that wattage is not the only thing to consider as the amperage requirement on the 12volt rail is more important.

When the game is uninstalled only files from the "stock" game are deleted,any mods or custom maps are left behind and have to be deleted manually.File locations will be different depending on if you have UAC on or off.

Been playing on alterIW.net for months.You play MW2 on dedicated servers without steam.They are working on new maps that are coming soon.

MW3 will use steam.Dedicated servers will not require steam and will be unranked; Quote from FourZeroTwo- "Dedicated Servers,join your favorite or set up your own,without any 3rd party hosting requirements"

Yes mine looks exactly like yours,same order same numbers.I think they are in the mpdata file and not in the config_mp file.Do you have a backup of your profile containing the mpdata file? -

Those files are exactly what I have,so I don't think that is the problem.If I were to guess I would say that they are stored in the "mpdata" file which is encrypted.Did you restore a profile which included the mpdata file? -
It appears that there are a good number of people with gtx460 and gtx560 cards on the Nvidia forums that are having crashing problems with the newest drivers.Most have rolled back to their previous drivers and no longer have the issue,not good for BF3 though.If a reinstall does not work,try an older driver.Seems as though Nvidia needs another driver update.

Some people that are having problems with this game have had some luck turning off SLI or backing off on the overclock.
