rat_house_v2b1 is a great map for tdm,was made by the guy that made the k-3 mod.This is a huge map and a lot of fun.

That Sapphire 6950 cannot be flashed to a 6970.It is the Antilles chip and not the Cayman so cannot unlock disabled shaders.

For those who have not played Modern Warfare 2,you can now play the game without Steam on dedicated servers through "alterIW.net".Also coming for BlackOps is"alterOPS" which is in beta,soon to be released; www.alterIW.net

MW2 never played,now that they have come out with "alterIW.net" I can now play the game without steam and on dedicated servers.I believe they even have server files for it now.

Keep in mind that not all EVGA cards have a lifetime warranty.Only the "AR" models are lifetime warranty,"KR" is 2 years.

If your running the on screen display server with EVGA precision,there is a setting in the Rivatuner Statistics Server settings to turn on "stealth" mode to keep pb from kicking you.I think Afterburner uses the same display server as Precision.

Your gts250 is by far better than a gt520.A gt520 would be a step in the wrong direction.You need a gtx550 or better to be an upgrade.

Had a buddy with the same problem as Chris.His hardware was not that great.We tried different video drivers until we found one that enabled him to play.the black screen and excessively slow loading times are most likely because the video card is having trouble loading textures,try a different driver it may help.

What exactly happened to the 9800gt?You said it "burned up",it could have taken out the pci-e slot with it

Did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new card?You can choose the "clean install" option in the new drivers and the installer will uninstall the old ones before installing the new ones.Try doing a custom installation and install the "driver" only to avoid a an HD audio conflict.

Sounds like you need to disable the onboard video in the bios and then try the new card.

Install EVGA precision or MSI afterberner and either turn up the fan manually or set a custom fan profile.The stock bios "auto" setting will cause the card to overheat.Make sure that the power connections going to the card are on different 12volt rails as the card requires 42 amps on the 12volt rail. I have Firefox 4 setup like version 3 without plugins.You will find though that Firefox 4 uses more memory than other browsers.I have no lag using Firefox 4.

You can set up Firefox 4 to look just like the old version

This is a communication failure between PB a and PB b.Run the pbsvc.exe and use the "test" feature.If it says that one of the services is not running then go to msconfig under services and make sure these services are set to auto start,also make sure they are added exceptions in your firewall settings.

It depends if you have the User Account Control on or off.If UAC is on your config file will be ; AppData/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles(x86)/Activition/Call of Duty4-Modern Warfare/players/profiles/ingame name/config_mp. If UAC is off your config file will be; C:/ProgramFiles(x86)/Activision/Call of Duty4-Modern Warfare/players/profiles/ingame name/config_mp. Right click on the Config_mp file and select Properties/Security.Highlight your name and click "Edit" and then allow full control,then you can open with word pad or note pad and save and make changes as you like.
