BCCode 117 is usually a video driver problem.Monitor the cards temperature a make sure it's not overheating.Any time that there is an error and a mini dump file is created, you can use a program called "blue screen view" to read the information in the mini dump file.It will list all your drivers and highlight the one that caused the crash.Bad memory can also cause video related errors, run memtest to rule that out. blue screen view; http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html memtest; http://www.memtest.org

Make sure you pick the "clean install" option when installing if you want the installer to completely remove the old drivers,if not it should save your previous settings.I would check in the control panel as Wolftis said.

With power supplies you have to remember that they degrade over time,so if you start out borderline you'll have problems later.Always get more power than you need.

If they are releasing maps and charging for them,I seriously doubt they had any intention of releasing mod tools.

Version 2.0 of Microsoft Security Essentials is out of beta and available for download. If you don't want to wait for it to come through the program itself or Windows update, you can update manually by downloading and installing overtop of the existing verion. Version 2.0 has added the ability to set cpu usage during scanning(defaults to 50%),a heuristic scanning engine, network traffic inspection(only in Vista and 7) and Internet Explorer and Windows firewall integration.

Go to- Start/Control panel/Sound/Recording/left click microphone/properties/levels/set volume to max and make sure it's not muted. You can also try mic boost by following the same path but instead of "levels",click on "custom" to turn on mic boost.
-
Are you using the 3.5mm mic jacks or the usb adapter? The usb mic will run on it's own internal sound card and not through the x-fi sound card.

When reinstalling your video drivers I recommend running "driver sweeper" in safe mode to rule out a driver issue. Driver sweeper; http://www.phyxion.net/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper-275 When installing the driver chose custom and do not install the Nvidia hd audio driver. If it's already installed then disable it in device manager. This will rule out the known hd audio driver irq cionflict.Have look here; http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=586183

I've used CCleaner for registry cleaning for years and never had a problem, one of the best I'd say.It will give you the option to save the registry entries that you are going to delete so that they can be restored if there is a problem and it's free; http://www.piriform.com/ Have you tried testing and reinstalling pb with pbsvc?; http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsvcfaq.php Don't know if Steam would cause a problem with pb or not.
