Fraps is heavy on resources aswell. Unless you have a high end gpu you will notice a substantial drop in fps when recording, in some cases making gameplay difficult.

Sounds like a PB kick for "packet flow" @@Sock Condom One solution is to open console during the menu screen of cod4 using the tilde key and enter /cl_packetdup 2 then press enter and tilde again to close console. This will double the amount of packets sent to the server and may help with the packet loss. Hope it helps. Edit: If console doesn't come up make sure console is enabled in the cod4 options.
