SOB and Johnny, I am a Motown fan also. When I am waiting in the car on weekend nights for my son to come out of his workplace, I listen to a French radio station "RFM" - their "Night Fever" programme includes many songs with which you'd be very familiar. Recently they played this favourite of mine: http://youtu.be/R6c0P5sWCWg

Are you looking for a copy to buy? (Why do you think we would be in your cupboard? ) I did a quick search on eBay and found this listing...

"If you're hung up on a brain-twizzling problem, crack a brew. A new study from the University of Illinois suggest that, contrary to common belief, alcohol's buzz might actually improve your problem-solving skills", reports Gizmodo (full article here). Personally, I shall remember that when playing Scrabble but it doesn't help ones performance in COD/BF3!

1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, cooks from time to time, cleans up, and has a job. 2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh. 3. It's important to have a woman whom you can trust, and doesn't lie to you. 4. It's important to have a woman who is good in bed, and likes to be with you. 5. It's very, very important that these four women do not know each other.

That's clever in a cruel and hilarious way! Good one, Joe!

Europe Bf3 Players I Need Your Opinions
DEEJAYKEG replied to Ruggerxi's topic in Battlefield 3's Battlefield 3 Discussion
Many of the BF3 regulars are European but the game doesn't seem so unforgiving of higher pings as COD. I'd just hope that North American favourite targets like Damit would come and visit! Conquest and TDM are my personal favourites (don't like Rush a great deal) and, as a keen pilot, I prefer maps with vehicles and aircraft (so Metro and Grand Bazaar especially don't do it for me). (NB: I said "keen pilot" not "expert pilot"! I get most of my tear-inducing laughter episodes when trying to be a Top Gun! LMAO!) -
The new router's installed. It was a half-hour job and largely automated. I only had to type in VCI, VPI and account details before altering the default admin password and updating the firmware. It seems to work OK and the line has not dropped since installation. (As per the thread in the COD5 forum, the "CI" problem was not connected to local hardware but British Telecom!)

Yes, Jud, if you ever have problems connecting to the servers, check the Control Panel thoroughly and then reboot! LMAO! Now you know the Admins have a wicked sense of humour!

Before you do this you best make sure you know the laws in your countries--- In the United States it is illegal----- There fore do not do it. Bah.... they aint going after Joe Blow who is Downloading the files... its the guys supplying the files they are after. And the guys running the sites. Ive been downloading movies, books and music worry free for many many years. Dont recall the last time i rented a movie. They may not be pursuing individual copyright-violators in your necks of the woods...yet. However, in England, judges are ordering ISPs to hand over the personal details of account holders whose IP addresses have been matched to torrents so the copyright-holder can seek damages. The latest case involves a claimant called "Ben Dover" (LOL!) and you can guess what sort of movies he makes! See: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/o2-copyright-suit-porn-company-den-dover,news-38138.html A UK student is even being extradited to the USA on copyright infringement charges! See: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/student-to-face-us-trial-over-tvshack-website-6289235.html Whilst the movie industry hasn't made any friends with its past tactics - I, for one, objected to having to watch a commercial accusing me of copyright theft when I had just bought a legitimate copy of a DVD - with streaming accounts and DVDs now so cheap, there is no excuse to steal movies. The Senior Admins are wise to distance the site and this clan from any suggestion of approval for/ support of activity illegal in the country where its servers are based.

Hmmm, don't know about this one. I suspect a setup as there's no spectate mode in BF3 and two "cameras" are in use. However, I am not going to pass up the chance to share a video of a sniper getting what he deserves!

Whilst the main TV upstairs isn't Internet-capable, I have, attached to it, a Sony DLNA-compliant Blu-ray player that is. This is connected to the router downstairs via a Homeplug network. Also connected to the router is a Slingbox, plugged into a satellite receiver (mainly because our terrestrial TV reception is so bad here due to the topography of the land between us and the broadcast mast). My son took out a trial sub with Netflix and I found it too greedy for bandwidth - it eats too much of the monthly allowance.

Steelseries Siberia V2 Click: http://steelseries.com/products/audio/steelseries-siberia-v2 Even bought a second one for the wife, primarily so she could watch streamed TV programmes on her laptop. She loves the phones! I bought myself the pack with the external USB soundcard included - quality far superior to onboard Realtek sound. The virtual 7.1 surround sound works great in COD5!

The process seems almost medieval in parts! I do hope you get the help you need for a reasonable standard of living, Dean. A local friend has had to undergo a similar process for disability benefits here to comply with new government efforts to weed out those deemed "fit" to work. He's a former long-distance truck driver whose spine is now ****ed! So, he turned up for his appointment, hobbled in with a stick and sat down, waiting for ten minutes to be assessed. He was initially classified as fit as he had been "able to walk in" and "could sit for ten minutes"! No account was taken of the constant pain he suffers. All his benefits were stopped and he had to go through an appeal process to have them restored. He isn't work-shy; he isn't physically able to work. I was disgusted by the way he was treated to meet a political target (and this was brought in by a government over here supposedly "moderated" by Liberal Democrats holding office in its Cabinet!). The disabled persons' charities have spoken out about the way people are being treated. There is so little compassion in this country any more.

UPDATE: Earlier play was, once again, plagued by the "Connection Interrupted" symptoms at random times and for random lengths of time (up to two deaths in the game). This evening, I have played on the COD5 DM server without a single CI! I mentioned how good it was to not be experiencing this and a fellow Brit regular - "RS4-V8" - said he had also been through two days of this when trying to play on American servers! His ISP is...British Telecom (he is on the Infinity high-speed fibre service whereas I am on their copper wire <20Mbps " 21CN product, optimised for gaming). So, I am now confident that the problem was caused by the service provider's equipment and not my own. I am looking forward, nevertheless, to installing a brand new router here, on Wednesday, that should upgrade my facilities. I should, at last, be able to give gaming highest priority at the router via QoS.

"The founder of Commodore, one of the driving forces in the early history of the personal computers, has died at the age of 83", reports The Register. Click here for obituary. I was an Atari ST owner and that featured a GUI called TOS - the Tramiel Operating System. A very tragic incident. My sympathies to those affected. The breed and other fighting dogs have been banned in England and Wales since the early 1990s.

Mums in group therapy A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with four young Mothers and their small children. You all have obsessions,' he observed. To the first mother, Mary, he said, 'You are obsessed with eating. You've even named your daughter Candy.' He turned to the second Mom, Ann: 'Your obsession is with money. Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny..' He turned to the third Mom, Kathy: 'Your obsession is alcohol. This too shows itself in your child's name, Brandy.' At this point, the fourth mother, Joyce, quietly got up, took her little boy by the hand and whispered, 'Come on Dick, this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Lets pick Willy up from school and go home'.
