  1. @loaderXI The memorial event, is this for today only?

My system is stuck with one SSD and Diskpart(the Clean command) can take 4 to 6 hours.
This SSD refused to format and was stuck at 15% for an hour. I had to force the Diskpart thing. I can't interrupt this progress. And still have to build this old thing into a case.

@DEEJAYKEG Have you find that IWD file and deleted it? Maybe someone can share that one by remote access, like Anydesk/Teamviewer. I am stuck too.

  2. Oh gosh, time of the year again. Why does this 50, has to rub me in the face man! I am still 24, right? ;)
Thanks idiots and read you all later again. Had a rough night, but hanging in there ;)

Be good, have a wonderful day and have fun! We all are doing it together.
That been said, next week, make it and have a fun weekend to remember :

Stream it, record it or just join. I want to see our Teamspeak loaded up with people.
Yo: Have a fucking good day!

Oh side note,  @Ruggerxi what is the news on the 14 year badge? Or are we skipping it to the 'sweet 16'?

  3. A 5800X is a great processor. You still have the option later, for a 5950X ;)

I hope that the next generation of AMD, the AM5(?) motherboards could last that long too. Just crazy that Intel choice of every two years a different BGA/LGA socket. I have to say 'normally', because some ONDA motherboards can do the Gen 6, 7, 8, and the 9th GEN.

    Good pick!

Yo, why don't you just email me. I know the DM's are there, but that way, way quicker. Or just wait ;)
I was just tweeting to Hardware Unboxed and he replied, that was cool.

That video of Linus, is so funny. Also that I remember that one.

after a few years the fluid evapourates out of loop and no cooling  working

cut the inlet tube to pump and add a rez to loop and place rez at top of loop to burp loop  with that set up of self burping

if not want to cut tube have rad higher than cpu and rad with hose closest to CPU (bottom so air will be at top of rad away from tubes)

this way no bubbles circulate and not starve pump but over time when fluid level drops in rad  will loose cooling power

when fluid is low  need to top up again or buy another unit  if handy remove tube and fill with distilled water

The picture there of the radiator, that is what Gamers Nexus was showing an at least 6 mouths ago. With those AIO's, a lot lot have these problems or people finding out so much later, the placement is wrong. The manuals are for sure not mentioning anything.

Some years ago, I spoke with Corsair about a model that even cools the VRMs and the Mosfets, to have a fan on top and blowing around the housing of those pumps. Here we go, some brands are waking up and lots more testing are done and designs.

I love people like Steve from Gamers Nexus, Hardware Unboxed, foolish Jay2cents, we need them. I wish I could, but yeah.
It is plain stupid, that "you" or I, have to dig into video's what is right and wrong to do. Or if something breaks, that can be solved by just a few cents. I am so happy with the Right to Repair going, even catching up in the EU. Lesser waste and the limit should be, dead=dead.

  6. Win10, 2024 to 2025. Why the panic.

Windows 10 is fine and not that Vista feeling much. Try to switch a harddrive or a SSD/NVMe to a other system with Secure Boot and TPM. Or, your motherboard is dead,

    2025

  7. I could ask you a few questions like, how you know >XI< and how many hours you played with us, or if you play other games and such, but someone might be more curious to know, rather than me ;)

  8. See what it comes to that that saying; "een ezel stoot zich geen twee keer aan dezelfde steen"
A Mule doesn't hit twice, on the same rock.

    Meaning, it learns from that.

    Copy/paste;

A donkey does not (in general) hit the same stone twice. & Meaning: One does not make the same mistake twice / Whoever has experienced the evil consequences of a stupidity, will beware of it the next time, if he is not more stupid than a donkey / Someone who makes a mistake, pay extra attention next time not to make the same mistake again / People don't usually make the same mistake twice.

    Yeah.
I have a password on mine. Do 1234, and know one knows. Problem is that, the drive can be stolen and read perfectly. Just sliver in the old password crack to it, and make that Administrator account.

Of which @RobMc check your Users Groups, it is not enabled or even there sir. Do Windows Key + L and see if you can switch to Administrator ;)

  9. What you can do is, to ask someone for the .EXE file of the game. I had a hard time installing it too with the patches, but used all the data from an older drive and I just copied that over the non-patched install and that worked well.

At least keep that ..EXE you have and copy that to somewhere else. At least that is what I did.

    Good luck!

  10. For NVMe SSDs from Samsung, I recommend to search for Samsung NVMe drivers version 3.3.

Before you update those drivers, I want to the screenshot of a program called "AS SSD Benchmark"  the Before and After 3.3.
You shit your pants when you find out, the stock MS drivers are failing.

What ever that is listed and maybe outdated on your brand motherboard and type, it can help a lot in performance to wake up hardware to the finest.
I hope someone sees this and post the screenshots.

As far as this Samsung Magician, they have a lot of work to do.
In some cases an older version does give an new Firmware to some SSDs, some not, period.
