Sammy A question: has anybody noticed any problem at all... short lag or whatever... the moment the RC explodes? edit: One thing to look out for is if you are relatively close to the RC when it explodes and looking at it. And whether it is triggered or shot, if known. I have seen no lag from the RC that I am aware of.

The Flush Sorry guys but I disagree completely with Cobra and Nut...what's the trouble or hassle in having two mods...if your beloved old mod with the old shitty maps still works so well, play on it. That is the main complain I hear from people on the old server is that the same maps have been around forever. The new mod is still in beta and admittedly still needs work (hence BETA) and people seem to gravitate towards that mod first because of the new map selection (in my opinion). Just as everything else, there are bugs to work out but it is A BETA TEST right now. How exactly does that turn people away from XI servers altogether? Having a new beta server doesn't affect the old mod at all, it's still there and is still running the same way it always has. The beautiful part of it is you can choose which mod you want to play. If you guys are simply mad or frustrated because not as many people play the old mod as the new, that's part of the excitement of having a new mod come out. There is a reason that people are choosing that mod first so just because you don't like that its there doesn't mean that others don't. Am I missing something or is there another reason that you think people won't play XI servers? Hands down our guys and gals run the best servers in the business. People will ALWAYS play our servers before others so I don't see people leaving altogether because they are trying new things and coming out with new mod options. IMHO. I for one like the new mod (except the lag and various map issues of course which will get sorted out I'm sure as the beta evolves) so keep up the hard work Sammy and Rugger! Flushy I agree with what you are saying, and its not the mod I have any problems with, or the maps either. But when the server lags or crashes you are just inviting peeps to play another game or server. Keep in mind losing people on COD4 at this point because of the age of the game can be permanent. I guess that was the point I was trying to make.

hxtr simplemod I've got a boatload of vinyl's myself. once in a while you just need to hear that hiss, and crackle, and pops from it. I love the high quality of recordings today, but I also feel like some stuff is better with the old distortion of the era. Juat a little more character. Just think stuff like Jim Croce -time in a bottle wouldn't have the same effect without it. Got some old Frampton and Skynyrd too. May have to pull out the turn table this weekend. not sure about you... but music helps me create memories of what is going on. And I beat up an album or two over and over and the memory lasts. I hear a song and I remember the times. Sure that is everyone. Just is cool. Wizid... the poster... can you take a closer picture. Your collection I could spend days looking through. hey ever thought of getting iTunes? They got music and SHIT!

I dont see any difference in the lag on the new server. Except the location. I do see almost nobody, when both these servers should be full. IMO we should go back to the version without lag until this can be worked out on one server anyhow. It is just sending people away. I know its being looked at and everyone is looking hard to find the problem, but there is a loop there somewhere that saturates the server.

Actually the more HACKS I see online in Google etc I think Punk Buster makes its living on job security. IE booting legitimate people and making excuses for it.

Well this may seem like overkill, but I did see this post when Googling your error that I did not see the other day. A lot of information there maybe something will help you out.

Here is a post on someone having similar issues. Maybe your log will give you some hints. As far as a new modem I dont have dsl but have had issues with Netgear and prefer Cisco.

Well my two suggestions would be- First since you have had so many crashes check for corrupted files. You may have fixed the main error but could be getting others because of file corruption. Open cmd prompt as admin and type in sfc /scannow Second install Who Crashed as it will give you a more detailed description of the error. Sorry Gump didnt see your post Id did see a post here about a possible fix have you seen it?

The first think I would suggest is if you got a WRT150N then put DDwrt firmware on it. I got it on mine and and its 100 times better than linksys crap. You are probly seeing different network maps because one has network discovery on or is not on a private network. Secondly your dsl and the router DHCP are both most likely trying to hand out the ip addresses and fighting over it. Do an ipconfig /all on both and see if the information matches up.

I would look at memory settings. Someone said long beeps were video but I have got it with two sticks of incompatible memory. I seen a post about maybe dual channel not set up correct causing it? Hell try it with one stick etc and see what happens, not saying your memory is bad, maybe not configured correctly? I agree too see if there is a mobo update, I also seen a video bios update but dont know about that. What does it say in event viewer? Anything?

The first one only did it on BF3 also? Did you reinstall BF3 and see any difference?

I would look at your temps, it sounds like your bios has high temp alarm set a bit too low, or it is overheating.
