Wow, those dude are on something, they move at a speed I cant even comprehend (lol).
-
Well you got me on that one. I only have limited knowledge from site visits to London & Dublin. I have first hand knowledge of years of care in both a private and single payer system and it has little to do with socialism or ethnic background. I have had patients spit in my face in 1990 to 2018 and their political thoughts never crossed their minds nor mine.
-
lol.. You kill me. Showing your tits, we will make you an admin. lol

I do not see the connection between socialism and the abuse on healthcare staff. What is obvious by todays standards the complete lack of respect society has for each other. The news is all about brutal violence towards police officers, healthcare workers, local civic employees, Retail employees. Every November we watch individuals brawling over a TV on black Friday. The political forum is littered with individuals calling others morons, losers, idiots and other terms of disrespect just because they disagree. I think the problem goes beyond political stances but rather where we are as a society. Footnote: I have worked in healthcare for almost 30 years, not one have a been told or did anything based on ethnicity of a patient. They are all treated the same.
-
I am unclear why this is about socialism? Either way it should be moved to the political forum.

Great job Kitsune, I myself being one who is in healthcare I appreciate what you are doing. Thank you.

Mike inspired me to think of what would be my greatest album ever, something I never get tired of listening to. As a musician myself I'm inspired by artists who push the limits of popular music specifically during their era but also stand the length of time. For myself that is Abbey Road by the Beatles, released in September 1969. Here is a band literally tearing apart in the summer of 1969 and they come together once more to create an iconic album. You have two incredible song writers in Lennon & McCartney pushing out songs and probably the most under rated third in any band in Harrison with some of his greatest material in Something & Here Comes the Sun. I dont know of any band that end their musical career together call it quits with a song called "The End"...Fours guys taking turns starting with a drum solo and a three-guitarist solo never heard before or since. As a guitarist myself I can appreciate hearing three distinct guitar styles, each taking their turn. Even the dam album cover is iconic.

Well played Ron.

Oh I have noticed. Don’t you think it’s odd that two healthcare providers are disagreeing on something that should unite us? My point is Tim, this is semantics. You and I can go on and on about this and get nowhere or we can agree that there is plenty to be done to improve the situation starting with simple washing of hands. I encourage anyone to seek care if needed specially with what is happening now. Yes, remind anyone who provides you with care to be diligent about their techniques. Please do not second guess yourself for if you wait it maybe to late.
-
Wow, hit a nerve did I? Remember you moved off topic on this by clarifying my grammar. If you can’t stand by your remarks then it’s best you remain on the sidelines. I have washed my hands of you.
-
LOL.. Is that all you have? Thats your argument. Let me say I’m grateful you left healthcare, and your piers are most likely as well.
-
LOL.. you are a drama queen! I bet your popular at parties.
-
I am getting the impression you have a axe to grind over this and healthcare in general. It’s your ego that is in question not mine. i am more than willing to sit and discuss making a difference on this issue and any other if it will help patient outcomes. I have 30 years of healthcare experience and brought up two daughters who are RNs as well. I am still in the game making a difference, I would hope with your knowledge you would do the same. We need solid thinkers who wish help than those who wish to stand on the sidelines and say.. your doing it wrong! I ask you again , which one are you?

Wow, Crunch! Dusting off the classics, that was from 1995! lol -
That is very true, I don’t know your situation but your statement was a blanket one in general towards all hospitals in the US. Sound advice on the hand washing. Sadly I think it took a pandemic to hit that home.
-
Quote.. “ On that subject, I'm not - perhaps to some, surprisingly- a fan of U.S. hospitals. Avoid them when at all possible. “ If you can’t stand by your statement which I have called you out on multiple times then it’s best not respond at all. If you are stuck on the civil war remark which I admit is theoretical LOL.. then go on and have a nice day as well. Tim, either you want to be part of problem or you want to be part of the solution. You have plenty of solid knowledge on the issue, it’s best you stop throwing rocks at your piers and offer some assistance. which will it be?
-
I haven’t avoided anything. Part of problem solving is A admitting there is a problem and B.. wanting to solve the problem. I have done both, if you want to make a true difference then PM me and we have have meaningful conversation on how we can problem solve this. If you want to continue throwing inflammatory statements then fill your boots. Your an RN! You of all people should not be persuading people to not get medical help regardless of your personal opinion.
-
My apologize to everyone for helping highjack this. Thank you for everyone who is doing their part in preventing this. You are all doing an Job.. Well done.
-
I’m all for improving on a system that needs improving. As for this being a problem for decade? Hell, they cut soldiers legs off in the civil war due to infection... this isn’t new. The issue is it’s pretty darn easy being a Monday morning quarterback on a gaming site quoting issues during a pandemic. Discouraging people from getting healthcare is not the thing to do, and if you were in healthcare that’s NOT what one should do. You seem to have a valuable point of view, I would encourage you to help rather than just criticize. Every opinion is of value and I appreciate yours. im curious, what did you do in healthcare?
-
My point is throwing out flippant statements like this only discourages people from seeking medical help and worse during an epidemic is the worse thing you can do. Yes, you are correct this is an issue, healthcare providers acknowledge this and we trying to do better. Where do you think your stats come from? Studies have shown that proper education and training of health care workers increases compliance with and adoption of best practices (e.g., infection control, hand hygiene, attention to safety culture, and antibiotic stewardship) to prevent HAIs. Where is your statement about antibiotic resistant pathogens that are sweeping through healthcare? What about the stats for HAIs in all nations including third world countries or that healthcare has improved dramatically in this situation. I have no problem admitting we can do better, god knows we can all do better. If your point was to throw a grenade in the situation then great, well done. Note: Your stats are correct and sadly all those patients deserved better, but it wasn’t from a lack of trying to do right thing. We just need to do better because lives are on the line.
-
That is a little harsh don’t you think? We are the ones on the front line of this mess and you want to shit all over us?

Hey Ice Queen, I wanted to see how you were holding up my Montana friend. Last time we had a chance to chat you seemed very stressed with the PPE situation, Im glad to hear that was straightened out. I work in a 750 plus bed hospital and I was just up in ICU. They have 22 beds dedicated to ICU, 18 of them are Covid patients. For those who think this is a hoax, you dont have an idea what its like in the real world. Stay safe my southern friend, you are doing an amazing job!
