Yoshi, please don’t listen to this. I work in healthcare and you are a fellow Canadian, look and see what is happening in my province of Alberta. Tonight my phone went off with an Amber Alert. The province announced a provincial state of emergency. Now as you know I live in a very conservative province and a government resistant to covid precautions. We now have 1600 cases daily and a province emergency of no ICU beds and a medical staff shortage. I work in healthcare and all our vacation time has been revoked and we are now in 24 hour call. Like yourself I don’t wish to debate this for I only wish to give you honest information, it’s not news articles or media data that could be twisted to fit some narrative. This is first hand information I live with. Your area does not want to go through what we are. I am so sorry you had to lose your positions and I commend your strength to your convictions, but as a healthcare provider, it’s about saving lives and trying to keep people safe. Regretfully you are a casualty to what is happening. Please stay safe my friend.

Thank you Ron, I appreciate the kind words and everyones support. I know you have experienced the same heartache in your home as I have with this battle. There are days where I prayed to god to let me take on this pain and suffering rather than Mrs Pete for it’s much easier to face a fight than to watch it from the sidelines helplessly. I then realize my wife is the strongest person I know. Thank you everyone. This is best group out there, kudos.

I was a clinical supervisor for a private radiology firm here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for 20 years. I have now moved on to be the radiation safety officer for the entire firm managing 17 sites. I will most likely retire in the next 5 years and promptly forget what I did for a living, not that I didnt enjoy it. I have always loved working with patients and staff. Prior to that I worked in hospitals for 12 years in Washington state where I met my wife and we had two girls. My wife graduated university and we relocated to Canada where she could start her career in Psychology. My wife, myself and two daughters have always called Canada and America our homes.

As many of you know, my incredible wife has been fighting a courageous battle with Leukaemia. Less than 10 years ago she would have had an 11% chance of survival. With the use mRNA technology which is used in the Covid Vaccine things have changed. With the help of this amazing medical miracle, cancer treatments can be tailored to ones person specific disease and make what was impossible years before now possible. Today Mrs Pete rang the bell. For those who have battled cancer you know full well the significance of that is. It marks a milestone In treatment in that her chemo is done and she now begins the road to a normal life. Mrs Pete will always have this awful disease but for the first time in a long dark winter.. the sun shines. I love you Jody! Pete

My heart is at a loss to image a time where he will not be here. He was one of those few individuals who you just liked the first time you met him. I just got the message and it breaks my heart. Bart has been a part of the fabric and made this clan special. I don’t wish to imagine a time where he is not around. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family the next several days.

Maybe Im jaded in that sense but I’m tired of dealing with it first hand for way to long. At the end of the day, Krunch can do what he wished to and I respect that. As for the borders? Krunch! Buddy, get that dam shot! Your province is been hit by COVID in the interior like mad. I have a friend who works in Kelowna and all their Covid cases are un-vaccinated people. You can be silly here but do the right thing!
