Sharp, 2.5% is 2.5%. Its incredibly dark to start marginalizing someone life just because of their age or if they have predispositions. Also the last time I checked the general public does include anyone over 55. Problem is the higher the case count, the higher the hospital rates. That translates into more death or long lasting serious health issues. I understand the lockdown that are happening in the UK such and I your right about them, but please dont minimize this to a point where people dont take this seriously.

I have a question. As a vet, what are you telling your clients in respect to the spread of Covid and domesticated animals. I recall all the chatter about it prior to.

Thank you Sharp, with respect those are estimates of potential spread and do not account for the solid data of known mortality rates. The US is going through a spike as we speak and hospital rates will begin to climb putting stress on the entire system. This then delays surgeries and life saving treatments. Seems very extreme and maybe a true knee jerk reaction. I believe in precautions that are reasonable, but there is always at time when some some stupid ass thinks I’m fine to drive and plows into some innocent family.

Great post everyone. My wife and myself went hiking several hours north near Jasper National Park. The trail was Maligne Canyon which took a few hours.
