  1. Thanks Johnny. I'm new to the ATI side of the world, with my new build. Is it best just to download the entire catalyst package and install, or should I just get the important parts?
  2. So did you get what you were looking for Beers? Let us off the hook man!!!!
  3. Class Act Harry.. good one!!!
  4. IF its vista.. here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3339302 There is a 'original wireless LAN driver' in the 'driver Original (7)' list. You probably already been there, but if not... good luck
  5. What OS you using beers?
  6. You probably have a bad file for that map. Go into your map file and delete the map. Then it will reload the map all nice and clean. OR, if you use the XI downloader.. Go to 'Edit', 'Options', 'Server Settings', 'File exists rules'. Check the box 'Compare existing file sizes'. Then click OK.. Then 'Check for new files'. This will take a little bit, because it will compare the file size of ALL your map files against the server files. If it finds any that are different (like you would have in a damaged file), it will select it for download. Then you can just run the downloader and get it. Hope this helps!

You can find it on torrents, but BE WARNED!!! Don't get one with a keygen attached. Make sure you have GOOD, up to date Virus software before you torrent anything. If you are not already pretty familiar with torrents, I wouldn't use that option. http://www.yourbittorrent.com/torrent/971205/call-of-duty-waw-5.html
  8. Good to see you here on the Forums MM.. Welcome!
  9. DEEJAYKEG Thanks, Pwr'. That was the decade of my childhood and though life in the UK was somewhat different to that in North America (the only time I saw burgers was when the fun fair visited Hampstead Heath!), I still rate the music as among the best ever written and performed. On a serious note, the 1960s were not only the years when old traditions and values were thrown out and the young gained a voice, but also when the rot began to set in. Future historians may chart the decline of western civilisation from that decade. Cause and Effect Brother!!!
  10. Is that an old GTX in that case? Sure looks like a Radeon card.. (Couldn't stand it?)
  11. start here with gpx cards: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-graphics-card-geforce-gtx-590-radeon-hd-6990,2879.html Do some searching around on the same site for memory stuff.. hint: look at your motherboards compatibility list for what RAM the manufacturer says is guaranteed to work with your mobo.. and look some of them up on newegg. In your case, it may be an upgrade list on the compaq site, for the memory info. Let me know if it helps. Post any questions you have.. the folks here have been SO helpful to folks doing upgrades and builds.
  12. It will take me some time to look about and study, but just off the cuff I believe you are correct in your thinking. The graphics card upgrade probably will be your best option right now. Even if you cannot benefit from all the graphics power (not saying you won't.. just don't know if you will), you should improve.. and you will have a card to move on to a new rig in the future. (one that you could probably buy another just like it and use in SLi or CrossFire mode). I will get back to you after I look around.. may be a few days. Happy Hunting!!!
  13. This guy does this, and a bunch more reviews, monthly. You can start with his list.. and then do some specific searches in NewEgg.. Ebay.. and the like. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-graphics-card-geforce-gtx-590-radeon-hd-6990,2879.html For the service and etc.. that goes with buying online, I have found it hard to beat NewEgg. Why don't you give us the complete specs of your current system. This will help to make a decision on what to do.
  14. Welcome CptCanada to the XI Forums. I am glad you are enjoying our servers. XI membership is by admin invite only. I won't bore you with all the details, but suffice to say.. Hang out with us for a while, play in our servers and contribute/check in to the website. An admin will take notice and chat with you about membership at some point. Give it some time. If you don't hear from an admin in a few months.. shoot me a PM and we will get the ball rolling. Have a ball at XI. We host around 20 servers, and you can find links to them on the front page. See ya in the servers.
  15. Obviously Savior can answer your question himself, but it appears to me that BWO is a FORUM for gamers and enthusiasts, whereas we are a gaming clan, with servers and a forum. I have been poking around a bit at there site, which is exactly the purpose of Savior's post, and so far it looks pretty cool. They do not appear to host servers, at least I haven't seen anything about that yet.
  16. Ah, because the bandwidth of the lanes is doubled, x8/x8 on a 5GT/s is effectively equal to a x16/x16 on a 2.5GT/s.. minus a 2% loss. Makes sense.. looks like you have done your homework. I wonder why they didn't name it something different? (PCI-E 2.0+ perhaps). I guess the dual x16 boards for intel are much higher, cause I spent a little less than you did on an AMD CPU Mobo and got 3 x16's (if you triple up GFX.. it is actually only x16/x8/x8, but x16/x16 in dual CF/SLi). I have often thought about building an intel rig. I'd like to see your stress test results when your done. Have fun!!!
  17. Very NICE MOFO.. I know you are excited. I noticed that NewEgg is sold out of that Mobo. Must be quite popular. I noticed that the PCIe is only x8x8 if you go CF or SLi.. so I guess you are just going with one card to get the full x16. Keep us up to date on the build. I wish you well!!
  18. LOL.. I didn't even know there was a such-a-thing as red pandas. So cute!!! Thanks for the link.
  19. That is my favorite moment in Cheech and Chong history!!!!! Thanks for the post Bro!!!

  21. You are awesome.. and just in time. .....the natives were getting restless!!!!!
  22. So, where did you end up on GPU? If you are still tinkering, I luvs this guy for info: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-graphics-card-geforce-gtx-590-radeon-hd-6990,2879.html
  23. CplMOFO I feel your pain about RMA...my etailer offers EXPRESS RMA for 30 days...it's costing about 5% of the purchase price...fast turnaround, they send you shipping labels and stuff, possibility of "crosshipping" I got free shipping labels from EVGA a couple times.... Thats a much better deal. If I had problems with the items, I would have pursued a cheaper deal, but I just had too many parts because of a couple of mistakes on my part.
  24. LOL.. MOFO, I was just singing the blues over some shipping crap too. But mine is RMA stuff going BACK to newegg..hope it gets there in time. BTW, didn't really consider HOW MUCH it costs to RMA stuff back to NewEgg. It ended up costing about 30% of original price to send it back.. THAT SUCKS. 15% restock AND shipping (I figured shipping was part of the restock until I went through it). SO, moral of the story.. figure out WTF you want and buy that. Don't count on RMA if you change your mind. Good Luck with the video. Now that I have my little issues worked out with ATI settings, I cannot complain about the Radeons I'm running. I think either ATI or Nvidia will give you real good service for a long time.
  25. Welcome to the club folks.. hope to shoot you real soon!!!!
