The Senior Admins have had a tough time making a decision, and they had to apply some 'universal' logic to the stance we are taking on members that show up with a PB ban. As has been said before, no one is directly accusing any of the members who find themselves in this situation of actually hacking. Only the member him/her self knows that answer. The fact is, regardless of the way it took place, these members find themselves in this situation. I don't think that a members 'farewell' post, because he/she is being forced to drop their tags, is a place to be pointing fingers and telling them 'don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out'. IF the Seniors had felt that was warranted, they would have banned them from servers and website and been done with it. It is unfortunate that the REAL possibility exists that some of our fellow members are being ex-communicated because of something they may have not done themselves, yet I understand why it had to be done. I would just encourage members and guests alike to not be rash in accusing anyone of anything unless you are 100% certain of what you are talking about. Be Well

Artimus Prime Every time I go in that Server I get called out for being a spawn killer/camper. You guys need to relax a bit and just play the game...Not everyone in there knows those maps... I wouldn't know a spawn point from a hiding place! I shoot whatever moves. To me anything moving is a target no matter how close or far from a spawn point they are. In Cod2 dm we have no rules on spawn killing or camping.. why would any other server have different rules??? How many times do you re spawn in the exact same place and get killed by the same guy?? If that doesn't happen then you can't be accusing everybody of spawn killing. Just my humble opnion. Artimus +1... Just play. Somehow ACE has survived since right after the debut of COD4. NO other COD4 mod or server has stayed up longer. I'm ok with whatever spawn protection (except that invisible junk we tried)... but my vote goes to going back to what it was before all the newbies started whining about it (Take a joke newbies.. and move along)

Wow, I was not aware of the hardware GUID bans. I wasn't even aware that the GUID was different from the game key, as it would seem this article indicates (although it does not specifically say that the two are different). Are they different for COD4, or is it just two terms used for the same number in this particular instance? Good info Greywolf, thanks.

Maps are usually updated monthly, it just seems like they are on there for a long time to peeps that spend a LOT of time in the server (yes, I am one of those). Just be patient and make your way through the maps you don't like. What I try to do when we hit maps I don't really like is choose a totally different set of perks and weapons.. and play a completely different style than I normally play. Helps break the monotony and actually helps increase my skills.
