This is definitely close to ace, with some cool MW2 weapons and stuff.. If you like ACE, you will like this server. TRY IT OUT GANG!!!!

Cool.. thx boss. No problems except for the one mentioned so far. Note: Dont like the respawn wait Dont like the 2 kill match over deal, but understand it's for testing LOVE the feel and look. This server (or mod) plays real smooth. It's definitely got the ACE feel to it. Really like it so far.

Problem with 4nuketown map. Wont load, cant push to next map cause rcon isn't listed on site yet. It's like the load image cant be found.

In the past, I have dumped my 'user maps' folder and sometimes the particular server contents in my 'mods' folder to clear similar issues up. If you have a really slow connection, you can just move these folders to another location and try it out.

LandShark You can also try turning off AUTO updates. It loves to chew bandwidth by communicating to the mothership constantly. Just a thought. I had some ping issues and found out that it was my kid's IPOD downloading apps. Tell me about it brother!!!! My kids kill my gaming all the time! YouTube on 2 or three other computers while I'm trying to blast some peeps does not equal a good ping

Well, so far it appears that 2 out of 3 peeps want it turned off. That is cool with me, I play either way but I certainly do not wish to lose some of our long time players like Ron to the anti-camp mode. I dunno how long Pete plans on letting the vote go on, but I suppose it will be at least a few days before the vote is over.

Actually, I've been seeing it more often lately in ACE.. but my connection has been crap. I had ATT out to the house and they did some stuff and now I'm much better. BUT I have seen similar as you. Your vid processing could be killing you. FPS drops equal you not 'seeing' things as quick as others and your hit registry will be crap.. thus you seem to be shooting a person, but they walk up and stab you in the head. The higher the graphic demand (such as air strikes, smoke, and close-quarter-combat with another player) the more likely you are, with a marginal rig, to drop FPS. I saw a big improvement on FPS when I built a new rig. Later, my DSL signal became crap and I saw similar performance drops with ping spikes. It's always something (lol).

Tball I thought we dont dictate on how people play IF that were true, why do we need admins to watch the servers? We dictate how people can play all the time. We are making some slight changes to this mod to see how they fit.. it is that simple. In the next few weeks a decision will be made to adjust or remove it. It is regular business. Don't be confused, you CAN still camp.. you just can't cop a squat in only one location for the duration of the map. If you have reg weapons, you gotta move around a bit, but you can still camp a bit. Hell, it's part of my normal game to duck in a building and take a few of you out through a window or doorway.. you just cant stay there a long time.

You should join us ringcutter.. in my opinion its better than ever.. but that is just me.

5 minutes. That is how long 300 seconds is................... 5 minutes. A match is 20 minutes. Snipers only have to move 4 times in an entire match. IF you are a sniper, and you only die 4 times during a match... I will ban your ass because you are hacking. IF you don't want to get anti-camping warnings... then use a sniper rifle. These are all suggestions, you are free to do as you please. We will be trying many new and exciting things here.. keep the opinions coming.. but please don't take it personal. Best bang for your buck now is video card then.. no doubt. That will get you to higher FPS. Hell, I got 2 8500GT's that I will donate if you pay the shipping from U.S.A to your house... but you would do better going farther up the food chain than those antiques as well. I suppose your mobo doesn't support pciE does it. Your motherboard expansion slot(s) [AGP, PCI] will dictate what vid card you can upgrade to (thus me asking what your rig specs are ) Of course, if you know all that.. and just want opinion of ram or vid.. it's definitely vid. BTW.. I've enjoyed playing with you in ACE, and you seem to be holding your own very well. I completely understand though.. hope you can upgrade a bit and get a little leg up.

I played it today. Tested out the camping for non-snipers. You get a warning at around 20 seconds or so, then 10 seconds later or so you get dizzy and lose your gun.. then 10 seconds or so later you die. You have plenty of warning and any time you move your ass away from that general area you get your gun back and all is OK. It ain't bad really. I spent some time inside buildings shooting through windows (like I do sometimes), only once did I get the warning to move my ass or lose it. I think it is better, but lets give it some time and others opinions.

If you are playing on a 12 yr old computer.. well, thats pretty much the ticket. I don't know your CPU, but I bet it's pretty low too. You could give us your complete system specs and folks could give you an opinion as to what you could do to improve the current system (if keeping money down to a minimum) BUT it is really high time for you to build another game rig if you can put out the bucks. Download and run this: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html if you would like to compare your current system to what folks are playing with today. They have forums for posting and comparing your 'score'. I would bet your old rig would be pretty low on all counts. I am impressed that you play at all, you must have replaced everything but the case since your original build to be running as well as you are.

It was made today.. Head Admin decision, to try it out and try to stop some of the mass camping that has been going on lately. Let it run for a few days and let us know what you think. Snipers = 300 seconds of warnings, then kill non-Snipers = 30 seconds of warnings, then kill something to that effect anyway. try it out.. see what ya think. Maybe it will keep it a bit more run n gun.
