the last time my multi player for cod4 wouldn't load...it was because of windows sound stereo mix not enabled...don't know why i couldn';t get it to load then i found a post saying that stereo mix in windows sound would fix it...so i went into windows sound clicked on the recording tab and didn't see any stereo mix...then i right clicked on a blank space in recording and enabled hidden devices...there i found stereo mix and it was disabled so i enabled it and voila it let me go online...i don't know why but it worked...but as i say what works for some might not neccesarily work for others...let us know how you make out with your prob..just enable it don't make it your default device though
