i would run the gas lines which is no expense hardly...unless you have a contractor you don't know....make sure you let him know that you have a friend in Canada with his gf 2 license...and he advised you..black iron pipe is usually used here..but a flex line can be used off of the main header to the appliance...brands are mostly the same with that type of technology as they are all in competition ..myself i use the rinnai brands for the tankless systems...cascade is a good choice and is usually the cadilac of heaters here,,,if you can stay away from electric do so as i said before they really use quite a bit of electricity maintaining the temperature that it is set to via the elements...electricity here is an arm and a leg so the less electric appliances i have the better...just me GG but that is the route i would take,as well the tankless systems are about two feet by three feet wall mounted..and the hot water tanks gas or electric are quite big...let me know what you decide to do ...if i was there i would put one in for cost for you but the distance prevents me,,,,just make sure you are well educated about the contractor you decide to use...

I do Girly....i am a plumbing and heating contractor...i have installed five heat on demand tanks in the last month...you only use what you turn on the tap for...i as well put one in last year...and saved almost 80 bucks a month on hydro...remember your hot water tank is 30 percent of your electric bill...as well they take up zero space and mount usually on the wall..a really good decision i made and the water is always hot and doesn't run out after doing laundry having a shower and such...if i were you i would go that route..as it will save you a lot of cash in the long run...now they are a bit more expensive that the usual tanks with elements....a hot tank will work all day keeping your temp at what you have your thermostats on the tank set to...and as well GG if you do put in another hot water tank system make sure that both top and bottom elements are set exactly the same so that one doesn't work harder than the other one...as it will burn out your elements and cause the tank to have hot water only at the top of the tank and will work overtime to constantly keep the water at that set temps...good luck girl ...that is what i would do in your situation,,,i hope you do put in the heat on demand as it will save you a lot in the long run...as well you can go to a high effeciency hwt ...but in my experience they too can get a leak as same as the electric ones

Im sorry if i rubbed this post the wrong way Astronomer....but i just figure that the monies could be used in a ton of more productive area's.i would like to know what applications would use such technology....and how it could help my fellow man...instead of maybe this and maybe that,,,the accomplishments would be?,,,just wondering...once they discover whatever they are looking for...what are they going to do with it.,,,make a new weapon?,,or help the human race?,,,how could this event benefit us,and why..i don't consider myself by far any type of genius,,i just don't see what this event will accomplish...actually these events are somewhat scary to me...the last time i heard very likely to...i had half of my face cut off due to skin cancer...my doctor said it's very likely that it is not carcinoma....five procedures later and a lot of plastic surgery i went to him and said ...stick to being a doctor not a fortune teller.... -

we have our oil sands here..enough to last us forever basically...the problem is no refineries....and every time a new refinary comes online another one blows up...go figure?,,,,gouging us always...yesterday gas here was 1.13 per litre...today it's 1.25 per litre...if i put my labour price up from 60 bucks an hour to 72 bucks an hour over night,,,there would be quite a few people quite disgruntled to say the least..and probably shop elsewhere .....this will all end someday as the people will only stand for so much.....but it boils down to the whole as a people say we have had enough....but i highly doubt it...we just keep on paying and forging out a living...poor truckers have really taken it in the rectum....it really adds up when you drive for a living...cockroach government...deisel is now more than normal gas which has never been.. since i was a kid. -

i envy you LOM...i love doing that type of exploring as well...beside my area there is a huge limestone cliff with thousands of trilobite type fossils...i've got one on my table that resembles a fish...bones and all...still in the rock...you can literally just go and pick them up...i'm surprised more archeolgists haven't been there more...i always manage to got there in the summer months with my neices and nephews and some of them have taken them to school for show and tell...good obsession though LOM...keeps the mind active and who knows maybe someday you can get rich,,,finding valuable artifacts from era's gone by

what about the great hadron collider....they are trying to create their own universe...the adverse affect of that will make the earth implode.....fucking stooges....they are looking for a God gene....apparantly....wtf is the world coming to ....this thing [hadron collider] is about ten football fields ...huge underground production....eventually you will see this world fucked by it's own people,,,whatever you do don't spend the money on people that are poor and homeless...spend billions on a machine that is expected to make it's own universe...or blow it up...they don't know what exactly what will happen when they fire this thing up....God gene...imagine..what a place we live in -
