Aw shit! I saw an earlier thread that it wouldn't use Steam.

Some of our younger members won't remember Duke Nukem 3D - the game that with Quake, really started it all. Only two people could play multiplayer through a dialup connection, and we'd do it for hours and hours. Duke Nukem Forever (DNF) releases June 10 (latest delay) and rumors are it will have dedicated servers; it won't use Steam, it WILL have pipe bombs and lots of naked women, and it generally will be a perfect game for we Idiots. I hope we're planning a server or two.

Rugger is still under the weather and asked me to make this announcement. He has been served a subpoena from the World Court in The Hague, through Netherlands Chancellor Pilar Lofo, of suit filed by an American computer company, XI Computer Corp. - www.xicomputer.com - enjoining us from further use of the term "XI" on the clan web site, clan servers, or in any other fasion. Apparently, XI Computer filed in Europe because we're an international clan. XI Computer claims copyright to use of "XI" and pending resolution, the court has issued an immediate cease and desist order. Consequently, at midnight today, we will shut down the web site and all servers and reprogram a name change. We anticipate this work will take 5-7 days due to changes we'll have to make in all maps with "XI" on them. It sucks, but we don't have a choice. We simply cannot afford to defend this suit overseas. And so we have to find a new name for the clan TODAY. Among suggestions from the senior admin group: XA (Extreme Assholes) and FI (Fucking Idiots.) If you have other suggestions, please post here ASAP. PS: If you wear any clan gear in public, you'll have to cover "XI" with duct tape or something - likewise with any tats.
