PCie gen 4 is available only when paired with 1 of the 3 high end Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. It's PCie gen 3 if used with a Ryzen 3000 series CPU. You must use a 5800X 5900X or a 5950X in it if you intend on using Gen 4. You are better off buying a much higher quality Mini itx motherboard and put it in a U1 rack. This U1 case is kinda insane. My download rate resets? in the middle of downloading a map some times. Then gets stuck downloading at 12kbs. It used to happen pretty regularly but it's been a fairly rare occurrence lately. Win 10 is a fucking asshole when it comes to games crashing. It does not tell you WTF went wrong, all it does is make that fucking annoying Error noise and close or freeze the game. Some times you can tap ALT+F4 and get it to close but most of the time you have to tap CTRL+ALT+Delete and Restart the computer because it just freezes your damn screen. I'm pretty sure most unrecoverable errors are due to corrupt audio because Win 10 has the ability to flush and restart video drivers and what not to resume operation. When you get an audio error the Realtek audio driver will hang and you must restart your PC to recover from it. That fucking Event Viewer makes no sense to me what so ever. Even if you do a complete OS wipe and fresh install you always get Multiple errors in Event Viewer.

@fbi_open_up How did the 3060 perform? If these ridiculously overinflated prices ever come back down I really need to get another card. Was thinking of staying with team red but a similar performing AMD card according to some benchmarks that I've looked though is the RX 6700 XT and it's $100 more than the RTX 3060. Might as well get a RTX 3070 if I'm theoretically? spending that much.

Ya I remember that shit. I was only 6 but I remember heading out to Ohio to visit my great Aunt and Uncle just before it hit. Weather was bitter cold when we headed out but no one expected THAT much snow to hit that quickly. It was something like 6-10 foot of snow in 6-8 hours in some parts. We had to stay at their place for almost a month because everything was snowed in so bad especially up on the mountains near the home place. They cleared the roads up around our place on Laurel Mountain with Snow cats. I thought they were the coolest looking things ever. Funny I remember shit like that but I can't remember where I put my gloves the other day. lol

Weather is getting pretty bad up this way. Go SLOW and keep your head on a swivel for bonehead drivers that are not used to snow on the roads. We are currently getting snow and freezing rain and it's supposed to snow on and off all day today. Stopping in at @YACCster place on the way back?

That is alot faster than mine. 350 down 12 up. Just tested it and got 348.3 Mbps download and 0.06Mbps upload. Tested it again and and the upload timed out. Tested it 1 more time and got 334.7Mbps download and 9.30Mbps upload. Just tested 1 more time for the hell of it and got 339 down and 11.91 up. I am pretty sure that I have a problem with my modem/router or Comcast is fucking me over again. They throttled my upload speed a couple years ago down to 2.5mbps thinking that I would not notice. I called the fuckers and gave them an ear full and they put it back and gave me 1 month credit on my bill. Which fucked me really good the following month because that somehow broke the contract and I had 2 bills to pay the next month to keep it on. We do not have fiber cable on the poles around here yet. It's just a big coax cable with a suitcase shaped splitter box up on the pole for 4 houses in town. They just ran that coax through maybe 12 years ago. Before that all we had was that junk phone line DSL and Dial Up.

Wired 4 port router/modem with WiFi and phone. It's 1 of the bigger xfinity Arris modems with the 2 optional cartridge style backup batteries in the bottom. These units are usually pretty bullet proof but I think it may have overheated the other day when I was downloading a few movies from a http site. Most of the time it was downloading at around 240mbps and It spiked up over 380mbps a few times but it slowed down significantly near the end. This Arris is starting to act exactly like one of those POS Blue Linksys routers that Circuit City or Wallmart used to sell. I can't tell you how many of those things I had and how many I threw in the trash or took back to the store for warranty exchange. Every one of them overheated and started acting like I had a packet loss problem. Shortly after that they would randomly start dropping connection every couple of minutes or constantly reboot.

We have that map for COD4 Freezetag somewhere but we have not played it in a long time. It's a HUGE map and not everyone liked it. This is 1 of the UT2004 maps but I'm not sure this is the one without loading it up.

I have been getting lots of tiny lag spikes in the mornings lately but my ping looks OK. Still in the low to mid 30ms range. Might have to give Comcast a call and have them send me another modem/router. The one I have takes 8-10 minutes and sometimes longer to fully reboot when I reset it.We have had alot of Ice on the lines around here for the past couple of weeks. That might have something to do with my lag spikes but it seems to only happen in the mornings.

Ya I seen that. Can't afford it and not sure I would get it even if I had the money. I liked UT GOTY edition but didn't really like UT2004. Heck you can get ARMA 3 for $6.95 when it goes on sale every couple of months. 1 game I would play again is CSS Counter Strike Source freezetag. I absolutely loved the custom maps for that, especially the Glass maps where you could shoot out the glass blocks, those maps were really fun.
