  1. I've had pretty good luck with the corsair power supplies. i've bought...about 20 of em...none failed (unless struck by lightening). ASRock is ok, but i also like gigabyte mb's and noticed at least one for a similar price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128840&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo I'm using a cx600 corsair...cheap basic but reliable; there is also a cheap 600w evga that has good reviews. I like the processor (but get an i5 if you can afford it). If you want a cheap/free idea for win7, send me a message. That ssd really can make a difference. I have a similar build but with an older i7 2600, ati sapphire 380 4gb, HAF 912 coolermaster case, 8gb ddr3 gskill ram and 240gb ssd, 1tb storage, 600w cx600 psu and a asus P8B75-M/CSM motherboard.
  2. I work at a juvenile detention center. Basically a jail for young people (boys and girls) aged 10-18 yrs old. No one is in their for weed or stealing candy bars. We mostly have repeated car thieves, residential burglaries, armed robbers, sex offenders, murderers, and the occasional goof that can't follow probation rules repeatedly enough to get locked up over it. Some stay for a day or two. Some for a year or more. Most are decent sized and some have major attitude problems. Everyday is different though. Not too bad. I've been there for 16 years now and I'm a supervisor. We just make sure they are ok and take them to the gymnasium and class (stuff like that).
  3. What games you play / at what resolution? and How much you wanna spend? What brand / wattage is your power supply?
  4. Thanks for the update and the work you put in.
  5. Thanks for all you do, so we can enjoy.
  6. How good of a videocard....cheap like 50$ ? What power supply (watts) do u have?
  7. Hope u figure it out. Have a great b-day. See u soon.
  8. Icequeen...if our voice counts for something.
  9. Hey Floyd. Im in Illinois. Not to far from you. I live by St. Louis, MO.
  10. Oh ya, i did a few test online and it said i had 0% packet loss. fyi
  11. I was getting alot of CI's then it seemed to slow. Now it worked for awhile, then i was getting "packet loss" error and kicks me for 5 minutes multiple times. Tried three other servers and they were fine. Only the new XI MW2 server (63.251.20.75:28960) does it....Wierd.
  12. I couldn't justify 60 bucks for small features on the crosshair. The sabertooth would be good enough for most people, but i try to save some cash where i can.

    help

They don't support it (won't offer help and new updates), but it does function for people being cheap. I have one running XP for my daughter to play around on. I do have a XP license you could have. We could probably do some magic on xfire and i could get ya going. It can run office 2007 i know. Also make sure u have a decent running antivirus on xp (like avast free).
  14. Welcome to the forums....hope to shoot you soon.
  15. Welcome....glad to have u as a member.
  16. Hey Seph...i remember talking to u on xfire. Good to see ya.
  17. Hi. Thanks for accepting. If anybody wants to add my xfire its fifthofjack. See you guys in game. : )
  18. Ya. Ive had that happen from installing old versions of clonedvd2 on vista and win7...had to clear the upper and lower filters like that.
  19. I use some of those too...and superantispyware (still really good / detects more than malwarebytes) and smart defrag. For an occasional deep cleaning i use tfc (temp file cleaner by old timer)...and for wierd viruses i sometimes use dr web cure it (freedrweb.com). CCleaner is good and simple, just not as comprehensive as advanced system care.
  20. You could also check out CD Burner XP...despite the name it can be used on vista and windows 7. It does a good job on audio cds, data, isos and such. It's only about 5 mb and free. It installs immediately with vista or 7, but win xp requires a free microsoft net framework version from the net. I use this for my cds and data dvds.
  21. In vista 64bit, i right click the speaker icon (in tray), click on playback devices, then right click on speakers or headphones and click on "set as default device". Then click on ok. That's how i switch back and forth. Also, you can't be in game (or be playing a movie/mp3) when u do it or it won't take till you restart the media/game.
  22. If you did want the G35...it's on sale on newegg for about 40 more hours. Was 96$ now 76$ free shipping to most us states.
