  1. I have a good friend that lives in Redington Beach and pretty much lost everything last night.
  2. I heard they taste like Chicken
  3. Appreciate everything you have done for XI @LOCO. Does this mean I can kick you now?
  4. As many of you know, back in February we had a house explosion about three houses down from us. The explosion killed my fellow firefighter Trevor Brown and injured 10 more of my firefighters. Two had 3rd degree burns, One had a shattered hip, another shattered leg, another crushed shoulder. All received significant trauma with regard to shrapnel wounds, concusions and ongoing pulminary problems. Fortunately most of them are on the mend. This year I became involved in a group called Patriot Cruise and Salute https://www.patriotcruise.org/ This is an annual event hosted right from our marina. Saturday I was honored to host on our boat, the widow of Fallen Firefighter Trevor Brown and her three amazing kids, along with my company fire chief and his wife. In all, the event hosted 105 honorees this year and 55 captains volunteered their time, their boat, their fuel and food to give the honorees a nice three hour ride up the Potomac River. After the boat ride, we enjoyed a great catered meal, and all honorees and volunteers received a nice challenge coin. I stuck a 360 camera on the back of "Cool Change" and created a little snippet of the first few minutes of the trip. Another boater grabbed a couple of shots of us. It was a great day and I can't wait for next year! EDIT: Video not playing in this post but you can down load it by clicking on the '...' if you want to see it LOL Try this link for the video https://digitaledgephotography.zenfolio.com/img/s/v-11/o138808896/c1/p1016350077-200.mp4 patriot cruise 2024.mp4
  5. DJ Congrats on your journey. This is something that I think ALL of us have thought about at some point in our lives. I subsribed and am looking forward to joining you on your adventures. I hope that you will experience Alaska off the beaten path. One of my wife and I's most epic adventures, and we barely saw much of the state! Thanks for sharing your nomadic lifestyle with us!
  6. Nice Shadow, look forward to getting fragged by him.....
  7. Nothing like a good thick head with my stout. Just sayin'
  8. Use both butter and Mayo. Looks great!
  9. Yea this isn't likely to continue in retirement. So we are enjoying it while we can. As they say, it doesn't make any sense to be the richest guy in the cemetery.....
  10. Here is a video I pulled together from our boat trip to D.C. with our dockmates. It was hotter than Haiti but everyone had a great time and got home safely. https://youtu.be/Nq45XTik60k?si=cROo0doHHAYMeJZL
  11. LOL you couldn't pay me to swim in the water in D.C.! Sorry about your turtle. How long ago was this? On July 4th after the fireworks a boat hit an unlit buoy at Ft. Washington and sank. 5 people on board saved by fellow boaters. Water is about 70 feet deep there.
  12. We are the farthest one to the left. The boat on the far right, the big Hatteras, is a resident at this marina.
  13. In D.C. on the boat with 7 of our dockmates. Great time but it's bloody HOT!
  14. My son used to play D1 X-Ball at PSP (now called NXL) tournaments across the U.S. and Europe. I was a photographer for Paintball Sports Magazine in it's day (it's long gone now). Living in the D.C. Metro area, I photographed the Ray Lewis (of Baltimore Ravens fame) celebrity paintball tournament. It was a charity tournament to raise money for underprivileged kids. His team was made up of various Baltimore Ravens teammates. They weren't very good but it was a whole lotta fun. Here's a couple of shots from that tourney that were published in the magazine. Had a blast doing this....
  15. Heck with that, just go for the whole pallet https://www.gmansportingarms.com/product/fiocchi-9ap-shooting-dynamics-9mm-luger-115-gr-full-metal-jacket-fmj-50-bx-20-cs-2-1?asaid=as0004
  16. 1967 Plymouth Valiant with 318 V-8 when I was 16. Motor was in pieces and had to get the car towed to my house. Put the motor back together and got that sucker running and drove it for a few years before selling it. It wasn't pretty, but it was mine! (net picture, not my car)
  17. Hang in there buddy, praying this goes away quickly!
  18. Scanner Radio app for your phone and broadcastify.com on the web
  19. That I can PROMISE you!
  20. My wife and I had a fantastic weekend out on the boat with family and friends. But Monday was for honoring and remembering those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our Freedom. Always remember....
  21. Nobody cares how good (or bad) of a player you might be. We are just glad to have you back!
  22. Happy Birthday Wayne! Not a big fan of rhubarb, but that looks legit!
  23. This breaks my heart, Thomas. So sorry for your loss. Sending positive thoughts and vibes.
