Simple way to check Ghetto way for a short is to disconnect the negative cable and connect a circuit tester one end on battery and one end one cable if it lights you have a positive current running down the negative side (short) from there you can pull fuses one at a time til the light goes out ....as you pull put them back until it goes out once you find what fuse the short is on you can go from there circuit tester is connected negative to negative as described above

Testing for bad sensor is simple 1 WITH THE KNOCK SENSOR STILL CONNECTED CONNECT A VOLTMETER BETWEEN THE (TERMINAL 3) YELLOW /GREEN WIRE AND A GROUND SOURCE 2 TURN IGNITION ON 3 TAP THE ENGINE CROSS MEMBER OR A PART OF THE CAR ATTACHED CLOSEST TO THAT AREA WITH A WRENCH 4 VERIFY THERE IS A VOLTAGE SPIKE LESS THEN 1VOLT FROM THE KNOCK SENSOR 5 IF THERE IS NO VOLT SPIKE YOU HAVE A BAD SENSOR ALSO YOU CAN RUN THE ENGINE AND LISTEN FOR YOUR SELF OF ANY UNUSUAL SOUNDS COMING FROM THE ENGINE SUCH AS SOMETHING LOOSE /BAD HARMONIC BALANCER / MISFIRE OR SPUTTER/ PULLEY NOISE OR WATER PUMP IF IT IS GOOD SOMETHING IS BANGING WHEN DRIVING AND SETTING IT OFF WHEN YOU READ THE CODE IF YOUR SCANNER WILL ALLOW CHECK AND SEE AT WHICH POINT IT IS THROWING THE CODE MOST LIKELY ITS AT COLD START CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS AND REPLACE WITH OEM PLUGS ONLY GOOD LUCK

Go into your main then your players profile folder and config_mp once your in there look for seta com_hunkMegs "512" program files/activision/call of duty 2/main/players profile folder/config_mp then scroll down to seta com_hunkMegs make sure its set for 512 then save let me know if that helps loADER>XI<

Pain if you continue to have issues make a new MAIN folder.....This is what a new installed main folder looks like but you can make one your self
