NightmareXI RD NightmareXI okay I hope you are talking about COD4 LOL the settings can be found at the config_mp.cfg I am using a combination of two different cfg files and the chat size changed what I have found so far at my cfg seta cg_chatHeight "8" add it to your cfg and try it ...changing the value has to change the size.... Ok...whats your other cfg file your configing? I tried changing mine from the"8" where it was at when I opened to 12 with no change ingame and did it to 16 and no change. I did save it but it still seemed the same. let me check out the other config your dealing with if you dont mind. just on my way to work... let me do a little research later what caused the changes LOL thats all I found with a fast research yesterday....but thought it was worth a try I will have a closer look when I am back from work I have been googling as well and we are both getting same answers however I went to my players/cg_config.textHeight and changed and saved it but I' mot seeing any difference in size on my screen. I could have sworn it did the 1st initial attempt but when a new map loaded it went back to normal and when I checked the config file again it was back at the default "8" setting

Ok.....I am now running my game at 1900x1200 (much much better) and the ingame chat is so small you need the Hubble Scope to see it. My eyes are poor anyway and I cant see crap also the console looks to be in another zip code. How do I change ingame font size. I found very little to any step by step stuff. I'm thinking its a console config thing. Can one of you folks point me into the right direction please. Many thanks -RD

Sorry SOB your having so much problem. I'd be at the methadone clinic if I had to be more than 24hrs from playing ffs. This is really not news I want to hear as i just went and dumped a bunch of $$ on the BlackOps only to find I gotta spend mo' $$$ to play with my XI pals..... Steam is not leaving a big impression with me and all this news and issues is making it less appealing although I do have fun playing ....its so much more fun with the gang from here.

UPDATE........................... After uninstalling/re-installing cleaning all the audio/video/mouse drivers out 3 times I got it to work however at 1024x768 res that I'd been running since I 1st built this box and installed the game would not stand up as it was prior. I'm at 1900x1080 and it looks good however the texting in game in so small I can not see it. I cant narrow down the culprit in this scenario but I'm leaning towards it possibly having something to do with the mouse drivers I've added for a 2nd mouse I use which are both logitech and each run off their own receiver. In any event I really appreciate the extra insight and help with this. -RD
