  2. @HarryWeezer, Upgraded years ago from WIN7 to WIN10 and then to WIN11. Late December I upgraded my PC and did a fresh WIN11 install. Reinstalled COD5 from Steam and had lots of problems to start with. (old user profile crashed the game frequently) I have applied all suggestions given to me in the forum. (thanks to all of you) At the end I have downloaded all the maps. (all 10 map packs) and COID5 is running fine since. For me the multiplayer option has always worked through Steam. I can't think of any reason why you don't have this option through Steam.
  3. I also run COD5 multiplayer on WIN11 through Staem. Had problems a while ago but running fine now.
  4. Still haven't had a chance to check it out but will try it soon. Was a big fan at the time when the game came out.

    Having similar trouble now. I can load COD 5 but as soon I press "Find Game" in multiplayer steam freezes.

  11. Followed all the advise and sometimes it's ok when downloading or loading a map. Having now less crashes. I think I will uninstall Steam and COD5 and reinstall it. See how it goes. Some have mentioned that it would be better running the game from disk rather than using Steam. If it doesn't work will order the disk and hopefully it works. Wishing you all a happy 2023!!

  13. Thanks Merlin. I am running COD5 via Steam and I don't have the compatibility mode option.
  14. Hello, I have just upgraded my computer. Now, after reinstalling steam, on a new hard drive, amd installed COD 5 the computer freezes or restarts when loading a new map. Initially I thought my profile was corrupt so I reinstalled Steam and COD5 and started playing with a fresh profile. Same problem when the map changes the computer freezes. Have done it all over again with the same problem. Have you got any idea what the problem could be? My system is: AMD 7600X 32gb DDR 5 RAM RTX 3090 All drivers are up to date. Can anyone help? Many thanks

  21. Running Windows 11 Pro. (22H2) No problems and very stable. For old games I use virtual XP.
