I would say the "I have given up" deals with his will to walk and his weight.
I think it's awefull not to be able to walk anymore because you are too overweight and but on more and more weight because you're not able to walk.
And all that happend only because of drops in the military.
It's like a vicious circle and in my opinion it can frustrate you a lot.
I think most of us can't understand his situation, because we never walked in his shoes.
But maybe being a dad is your big inspiration and your reason never to give up and that's the point, you always need something that helps you never to give up.
I'm not a dad yet and this video helped me a lot by giving me the motivation to fix certain problems and I'm glad you send it to some friends, who possibly need that inspiration.
