If you have ever owned any of these CPUs : FX-8120, FX-8150, FX-8320, FX-8350, FX-8370, FX-9370, or FX-9590 , you could receive a cash reward. Pretty much AMD stated that these CPUs were 8 Core 8 Thread. When in reality the CPUs were dual threaded so they have 4 cores instead of 8. You can make a claim here.

I would highly suggest not going with the 2080ti even if you can afford it I have the normal 2070 and I am doing just fine running everything at 1440p ultra settings. If you are using a 4k 144hz monitor then yea a 2080ti might be necessary but if you are not using that then I would suggest going for the 2070 super or 2080 super.

Hey if you havent already started you can use a program called copyzilla to transfer one hard drive to another if you are up for that it would only take about a hour or 2 versus stressing over transfering everything manually.

Check for windows updates also.
Update any drivers you have, GPU, Chipset, LAN, etc..
Goto your motherboard support page that is where your drivers will be for the motherboard.

No problem @Evil-Monkey  it really sucks that the motherboard was the problem I was trying to avoid that option until a last resort because of it being one of the more pricey pieces. I hope you are able to RMA or return the one you have because of that being the issue.

3 Things,
1. Verify all drivers are up to date.
2. Goto C:\Windows\Temp and delete all folders/files in that folder.

If you are still getting freezes after all of this then open up your computer and make sure all of the connections from your PSU if it is modular and make sure all other connections are securely connected.

If it still doesn't work then you will need to make a backup and reinstall windows then restore your files from that backup.

The only way I have gotten cod 2 to work on my pc is by going into the game directory and setting both the cod2sp and cod2mp exe file properties for compatibility mode for XP SP3. After I did this the game worked with no issues on my end. Of course with you having different PC specs than what I have it is up for grabs but I think that is your best shot in getting this working.

I'm not sure if you do sigs for non xi members, but if you are willing I would like to have one myself.

River if you have win 10 you need to set both the cod2sp and cod2mp exes to compat with win xp sp3. That is how I got mine to work. Along with Loader's fix for the hunkMegs which will prevent your game from crashing due to not enough memory.

Halo Reach/Halo MCC has released on PC today on Steam, if you are interested you can buy Reach by itself for $10 or you can buy the entire collection of MCC (Halo Reach, 1, 2, 3, 3 ODST, and 4) for $40 which in my opinion is a great deal for getting 6 games for $40. I am not sure when the rest of the halo games will be released on PC, but 343 Industries has stated they will be released when they are ready which means it could be many years until the rest of the games are released.

@Cheyenne Post your complete specs, RAM, CPU, GPU, and what type of Drives you use (SSD or HDD). We might be able to help a little more with that info.

I really like the game, however, for me it is terribly camptastic. I'm not sure how lucky others have gotten with not having everyone camp in their games but that has been my unfortunate experience.
