Yea @SgT.Chris ffs don't point them at a task and expect them to do it, this is how it works:-
Firstly a personal risk assessment, mustn't get hurt with that pen?
Have they been briefed on the job they're to do?
Check they are not tired, their night on the piss may have left them drained, allow time for a nap
Do they have any personal requirements for the job i.e. Eyes, arms etc be careful to allow those requiring equal opportunity to accomplish the task enough time and resources.
Are they mentally prepared for the job? Listen to their needs when they tell you to 'stick it up your arse', this is a cry for help
Don't let the expectations of your boss cloud your judgement, the job will get done in it's own time, on that note it's too late to do it now, try again tomorrow.

In these troubled times in the XI forums, the growing influence of snowflakes needs to be accounted for, don't you agree Senior Admins?? we can't carry on being politically incorrect, rough and saying things how they are, no, we must become more cuddly fluffy and caring. I for example grew up in a tough neighbourhood, did a tough job and (true) never worked with  women until I was 44, needless to say I made them cry. However, I ended up being loved (not literally) by those same women, reaching the dizzy heights of being told by them all that I was the only man in the building (true again).
Yes Rob has a caring feeling side too, if I shoot a mother bird I make sure I kill all the chicks too, don't let the little fckrs suffer eh? I can be kind and compassionate, but despite reading all those articles have yet to discover my feminine side, must ask my buddy @Chris how you do it.

A salesman is rushing through the Irish countryside in his BMW, headed for an important meeting he must not miss in Dublin. About a hundred miles from Dublin, in the middle of nowhere, he breaks down (nothing new there BMW), he walks into the nearest village for help. Approaching the first person he sees he says

Then alongside pulls a Ferrari, the driver looks on with amazement at the sight beside him, waiting for the lights he revs his engine and slips his clutch. The salesman glances down and smiles, I'll give this cunt a shock he says, the lights go green he cracks his whip and the harness snaps, the pullets and Ferrari disappear into the distance and he's left there.
A policeman witnessing this walks up 'What is the trouble sir?' he asks
The salesman replies 'Sorry officer, my big hens have gone'

I play COD4 freezetag with you people and sometimes i'm AFK or just leave without saying something and i want to explain why thats happens.
I am a volunteer firefighter and when i get a call i let everthing fall and go to the fire station.
