For all of you that have followed my dad's journey over the last little while, here is an update.
Today Dad celebrated his 90th Birthday. We are so blessed to have him make this milestone. Over the last 2 years he has really been through a lot of health issues. Many times we thought we were going to loose him. He is a real fighter. He is stable and after congestive heart failure and receiving a pace maker/defibrillator, Kidney failure/Dialysis, breaking his hip and breaking it again. All my siblings are here to celebrate. He was moved to tears and while trying to express how much he loves us all. I won't admit that most of us had tears as well. When you are raised by a such a GREAT man it is impossible not to be emotional.
Many of his grandchildren and several of his Great Grandchildren were here to shower him with hugs and kisses. The Love of Family gives him the strength to continue his journey. 
We had some great Lebanese meals over the last 3 days!
It is with great pride I call him Dad.
If you love someone tell them before it is too late.

This is awesome.

Used to love playing with rope, for shortenings and riggings, boating and kite flying. It always fascinated me what people could come up with just using a line & a loop. Stopped doing it after my Aunt died, but after laying flowers out at my wife's grave, and seeing wreaths on the other monuments, I tried it again. Very surprised my hands remembered how. Here's the wreath I wove yesterday, and the hitch to shorten in around Lori's flower base.

Good decision; there's never a cheaper time to run cables than during construction, and it's so worth it! I did some runs that I might never use but I had the cable and it was easy with the studs exposed so thought why not. 

Thankfully ping is king when it comes to FPS games; if it was download speed I'd be screwed!

There is a bind you can put on before the game that allows you not to pick up other guns. Trouble is if you run out of ammo your fucked , all you will have is your knife lol. I used it a longtime ago and I cant remember it but I know a lot of peps still could tell you what it is.

Definitely my sentiment. I think a RPM reduction would be the most accepted nerf if the gun was to get one. Looking at the small turnout for the poll above (not even people voting no to a nerf) leads me to infer not many players take issue with the gun/care enough for a change to be made. 🤷‍♂️

Not a lot of the players that play on the server regularly are active on the website. This is probably a waste of time. I appreciate the effort no less.

I've never been a fan of how fast the carbine shoots. Completely unrealistic and overpowered. It's gone from a gun that nobody ever uses to one that players spray and pray their way to kills. It should not shoot as fast as an MG42 and it does.

Curious to see what others think about this gun. Not sure how easy changes can be made, or if this is a hot button issue, yada yada yada. Console chat in game says "we are always trying new things", so I figured may as well bring it up. I have some other comments/ideas for other guns as well if anyone's interested.

It was called The Boy Scouts back in my day; anyhoo... prime fishing season is shortly upon us & one will need appropriate beverages to slake one's- & one's friends'- thirst on those long summer days & evenings to come.  Thank you Boy Scouts!  Be Prepared!
 
 

It is handy sometimes to get a gun off the ground, but yes it is super annoying when thawing. I think most people would agree with that. Distance thawing helps but the most unavoidable situation is when you are trying to proximity thaw and distance thaw at the same time.
Only solution to this I can see is if it's possible to separate the "use" key and the thaw function. That would be a huge and probably very polarizing mechanics change though that would take a lot of getting used to.

Always loved Hot Cross Buns and wanted to make them for years! So I did. I used John Kirkwood’s recipe. He’s from the north of England. He has a great YouTube cooking channel I’ll leave a link to the buns.
 
 
 
 I had to make a few changes.
I used all purpose flour
I had no lemon so no zest
I used 50/50 raisin and current 
I did not put the flour and water crosses
I did make a glaze with a bit of lemon juice and icing sugar 
My crosses were water lemon juice icing sugar and vanilla

I have an Acer Predator xb271hu that I've had for a bit over 2 years and I love it. Got it on a great black Friday deal but it's a little bit cheaper now even so. IMO 27" is the perfect size. I've never tried a curved but I really don't think it's for me. Who knows, to each their own.

Yesterday morning my Pops lost his fight with Cancer. He went peaceful and on his own terms. The day before he decided the pain was too much and wanted to be induced into a coma and no feed tubes or IV and let him shut down. We had a VERY cleansing and theraputic afternoon of goodbyes, video calls to those who could not see him (fuck you covid and your restrictions) my brother sister mother and I all had 1 on 1 talks with him, he was ok with his choice and more worried WE would be ok with it. We were, we are shattered, but we will pull ourselves back together, there was no putting Pops back together this time and he knew it. Yesterday afternoon they were supposed to induce the coma, we got a call at around 730am that he took a turn for the worse and to come there, Mama told them to let him know we are on the way. Well Pops being Pops found that off switch he said he has been looking for for a week now, he didnt want us to see him pass and he flipped that switch inside before we got there. He went calmly and peacefully with a nurse holding his hand. 
He was surrounded by so much love all week the RNs were in tears daily saying they have NEVER seen such a close family and a family so full of love, we were confused, its just the way we are, they said unfortunatly not many in the hospice have that support and thats saddening in itself
So with that being said, I implore you to tell those close to you that you love them, dont shy away from 3 simple words, dont hold them for just your spouse or family, love openly and freely, tell your friends you love them, tell anyone and everyone close to you that you love them, take the weirdness out of saying it and it will become a natural thing to say, I have SOOOO many friends guys and gals I have no problem saying I love you to when parting ways even if for a short time, I was lucky, I got to say goodbye and I love you to my Pops before he went, many dont get that chance, so dont pass up a chance to say it because you never know if you will get that chance again!

Boss texted me while I was peeling potatoes. Told him I was getting rid of a half-gallon of milk, and he suggested bacon bits w/my soup. Damn, why didn't I think of that..... Tasty on a winters day. Second pix is from the boat club during superbowl. Even Illinois can be pretty in winter.
