  1. Merry Christmas. My mother went through chemo. Unfortunately it was too far advanced and inoperable While it helped a lot it did not 'cure' for lack of a better word'. Saw every day how bad chemo is so major thumbs up that it worked for you and hope it remains that way for a long time. Now get out and do some dancing.
  2. Its also not just heat but power usage. For both the amd cpus and the bigger fans needed to cool them. In many places, like mine, power usage matters a great deal due to the pricing tiers. The usual calculators say X dollars per year. But people tend to put base rates. But bump it up to level two rates and the cost doubles. If you have a family it might even go up to level three. If you use your computer a lot, like I do, it adds up.
  3. Kinda makes proposals for gay marriages a little difficult.
  4. Sure. I forget where I heard it but in the end every piece of fiction comes down to one of just five basic stories. Havent seen Revenant yet. Off the top of my head, for 2015-16, Inside Out was really good. Others didnt think so. Different tastes I suppose. I thought Mad Max was very good as far as it goes for a movie, albeit very little plot. Not up there with Road Warrior but well done and certainly not boring. For a somewhat older movie, since you mentioned decaprio, I think Inception is really good but others dont like it because they think its too complicated. Dunno why since I followed it along just fine. They probably got confused by Pulp Fiction also. Then there was The Force Awakens. Everybody agrees it was a remake. Some said 'who cares' and enjoyed a great movie. As you said Hollywood is full of remakes. But others gave it negative reviews specifically because it was a remake. Not on its own merits. 'It is a remake therefore it is bad'. All that said, I do tend to enjoy the pay-cable stuff much more. House of Cards, Game of Thrones etc. I havent seen the sequel but True Detective was really good. So these days Hollywood does has some pretty stiff competition.
  5. Then your standards are astronomically high, you dont see enough movies, really good movies can only be about a certain subjects, or there is some confusion on what standards actually are. Or maybe you are the Simon Cowell of movie watchers. Everything sucks. If all you want to watch is the Avengers or Twilight then yea based on that small frame of reference Hollywood isnt that great.
  6. Yup Hollywood loves to promote the good things they make. But they also ignore the far larger amount of shit they make. Always have since they shoveled the first mound of dirt to build it. Even the great great actors from the 'golden age' made really bad movies in their day.
  7. Hxtr is a scientologist? Now it all makes sense.
  8. I know that's built in for defrosting but afaik its off. I will check. However its possible that person could have spawn armor, which I think is 50, and death streak armor. Which adds up. Players that tend to die alot... like me... tend to get the spawn armor. As for how much 1 armor = 1 health. Not including stopping power. So 30 health + 50 armor (80 points) will require two shots assuming primary weapon standard rounds (no suppressor penalties) and standard distances. In which case two rounds will do less than 80 damage. Probably the 100th time I have said it but its meant to be a middle ground between total HC and SC especially with juggy. Its there for those that want it or are having a really bad day and need little bit of temporary extra protection for one or two rounds and thats it. At the cost of some pretty useful perks. edit: Its off.
  9. I should clarify, 30 health on ow2 mod. I dont know about the others. G3 isnt in ow2.
  10. Body armor protects against headshots. Always has.
  11. 30 health. Dont assume rounds always do 30+ damage since there are many factors at play. They dont. Besides HC is boring. If it were up to me I would make it so to kill you would need to land multiple shots on the torso or one to the head. But its not. Nothing is stupider than dying because you got shot in the foot. Its worse than being sprayed behind a wall.
  12. Of course one little accident and its slice and dice for Christmas.
  13. Ah yes. Silly movie. But I did like the parody on the future. Yes even lefty Hollywood can make movies that show what an ultra-PC world would look like and how stupid it would be. Be well.
  14. There are times you have to be careful what you wish for. You may get it.
  15. All those Santas spent too much time drinking the eggnog with brandy. This video however is the real 'March of the Penguins". But I dont see Disney promoting it.
  16. Local jurisdictions (but not states nor the feds... yet) can already tell cable/satellite service providers block channels they deem obscene. But actually installing hardware on our own computers, televisions, tablets and smartphones? To keep up with the ever changing media providers and the internet they would require firmware access to update it. Who is going to stand up and defend this guy? Or are supporters still on their crack high over their victories and havent yet spent the time to think anything through? Now that the election is over the question the people that voted for him, and others like him, must answer is whether or not they are willing to accept this kind of government intrusion and how far it would go. "Hoping for the best" actually is a valid answer. It simply means the answer is 'none' but for some reason believe the victors actually wont try and follow through with their campaign promises. Which would be strange tho because people dont vote for candidates that wont follow through. They vote for candidates that will.
  17. There was a Stallone movie with that. Every time you swore you were charged a fine.
  18. Ho Ho Fucking Ho...... Penguins are not to be trusted.
  19. I hope not. There are some things you simply cannot un-see no matter how hard you try.
  20. Yup been one of those off and on things for awhile now. Not sure if this is going to be good or bad. But the same thing was said about other sequels from old movies that turned out to be pretty good so who knows. Among the cast I am curious who the replicants are. Gonna be tough to outdo Rutger Hauer. Probably kept secret as a twist. High expectations certainly. Gotta hand it to Ford however. 75 and still making big budget movies.
  21. Uh huh. Good luck with that. Reagan tried that back in the day when the NSA wanted to put chips into every computer as well to allow them access. They were told no.
  22. It is as compatible as its going to get. Last time I added I think five or six rotations of almost all new maps as I was going through the red list of non-compatible maps. 25-30 each. But too many people keep shutting them down for different reasons. Too big. Too small. Too dark. Too many trees. Too open. Too camper friendly. Too sniper friendly. Or they just plain suck for some unknown reason. There are people that dont want new maps. They are quite comfortable with the current maps they know so well. No need to learn new ones. Or relearn old ones. If you have specific requests of certain maps to try out send either dadda or myself a message and we will see if they now work.
  23. Hopefully not a huge amount. I could possibly use ow2 as a framework since it all already works and just start removing stuff.
