  1. ACR? Not a chance in Hell. I could probably hack up a DM smaw-only game on the gungame server. It would still be the same gametype but only that weapon.

  4. Ah ok yea thats a debug message. I didnt know it was there. I dont know if a redirect was set up for the server. However the iwds are the same as on the main server so you can copy/paste it. Thought I restarted the server. Maybe I didnt. edit: nope forgot something. Smaw should be there are on next server restart.
  5. This mod doesnt have the usual anti-camping but the one that if you do it for too long you get a big icon over your head that everyone can see. Tho I havent tried in this gametype. If this is something everybody wants I can look into it.
  6. One of the last weapons is now the smaw. Plz check it out to make sure there are no problems anywhere and enjoy. I dont know if I am adding more weapons than it was intended to handle. Will see how the smaw goes. Remember that while its highly accurate and fast it only has 1/2 the punch of an rpg. So might be hard to get those certain individuals addicted to extreme bunny hopping. I know there is a hud material error related to the crossbow if you die. Working on it.
  7. Didnt get a chance to mess with all the configs since its sunday and I wasnt much interested in screwing around with mods. However tomorrow I will add in either the rpg or smaw. Could try the .50 at some point. See how they go. I not so sure about C4 because people would just throw one in a well traveled area and camp until someone gets close. For waiting to respawn and protection going to try 5 and 5.
  8. Yea I think that has happened to me occasionally but not in a long while. No there isnt a 'fix' other than quitting the game again normally and restarting.
  9. Or you can maybe have it that people who shoot spawn protected players die.
  10. I uploaded all the configs I have at home. So yea things are different right now. Will be going through them to set the server ones to the usual XI values. As for actual changes other than the config stuff for spawntimes its basically bug fixes and adding a few weapons. Speaking of which.... rpgs and smaws anyone? No c4/clays/etc.
  11. Once in awhile I will play against bots just to pass the time. I also like the Fraghouse Invasion mod.
  12. Spawn protection is 3 seconds. Waiting to respawn after you die is 10. If this is not correct let me know.
  13. Uploaded fixes. Four weapons added to rotation. The glock. The standard crossbow is the last in the pistol rotation before it goes up to the specop weapons. Deathmachine as the last of the machine guns. Explosive crossbow before frags. You need two kills with each to advance. Let me know how everything goes.
  14. Doing some work on the game today and a couple questions: I dont have the 'powerup/down' sounds. The mod is focused on stock games and freezetag. Other custom asset items were removed to help with map compatibility. So those two sounds need to be replaced with existing OW2 sounds. Any ideas on which to use? Could be most anything so long as its already in the mod. Needs some workarounds but testing out both crossbows and the death machine (for the lmg part). No tubes. Where would you put these weapons? Could also do rockets but those arent strictly guns. They do have long reload times however. Adding in the Glock for pistols. Death streaks? For info: attachments for non-pistol weapons have a 50/50 chance. And if yes, the attachment is random. Add the laser as an attachment option? Should the presence of an attachment bump up the kill requirements from 2 to 3 when its there? All expands from the usual game and just trying out different things to add variety.

  16. The operative words there are 'map exploit'. Such things depends on who you ask. One players 'exploit' is another players 'feature'.
  17. Old joke told every 4 years at this time. Of course in 4 years it will be about Trump and whoever replaces him. Unless the democrats are completely brain dead and choose someone just as bad or worse. After all, it will be their turn again to say 'boot them all out'. And so the merry go round continues.

  19. Could you be more specific about hit markers? Not sure I follow you. edit: Just to add, some of the problems stemming from the game come from the mod allowing you to save much much more custom class data than the standard OW mod. So I need to add more checks to look for them for gg. Oh and if you see the body armor hit icon its probably from a deathstreak. I dont remember if there is an option to turn that off. If not will add it. Up to you whether or not to leave it enabled.
  20. Back in the day kings and popes would use a personal emblem with either ink or wax. Usually on a ring. Maybe they still do.
  21. Ok we went through things. Long story short is that I need to work on it. I pretty much only focused on the stock games and ftag. There are script errors because there are many ftag/stock specific things the mod looks for that dont check for gungame. Or methods were changed that the gametype doesnt use properly. Several are things that were likely never intended but still runs the checks. Also there is no 'knife only' weapon in this mod. I removed it for an OW2 weapon and cannot add it back. So thats why that doesnt work. Perhaps everyone can think up alternatives with a weapon already in the game and changing how some things work. Maybe instead of a knife at the end you get the starting M9, same stats etc and the knife, but headshots only. Everything else misses. Stuff like that. But anything I do has to be done in scripts so that will have limitations. There are a lot of settings I cant change. Also it cant be something that will take weeks to do.
  22. I didnt realize this version was using the OW2 mod. With all the OW2 weapons. At least I think so. I didnt spend much time on it to ensure there are no problems. Mostly just stock games and ftag. So it seems there are some and in this case probably trying to give a weapon that is no longer available. Causing the player to get nothing. Also not reading the correct variable name for spawn protection. Will go through things sometime today and see whats going on.
  23. Yea thats gungame. I think there is already an XI server for that. Or it pops up now and then.
  24. During a game last week I suggested an option for Wednesdays that will have a couple of the usual rules changed. Not things like 'pistols only'. Those are too much. Mostly just minor differences in game mechanics. Which differences would be up for suggestions and votes on which would be appropriate and which ones would not. Some things would require other considerations such as the low gravity option would open up places that right now are considered glitching. That might require a specific list of maps that work with it. I am sure low grav servers have such lists and maps to avoid. Any suggestion would have some that think its a good idea and those that dont. As always. But it would only be one day/evening in the middle of the week not weekends. I have been playing ow2 ftag a bit again after a long absence and to be quite honest after an hour or so I find it boring. Its just the same thing as before. Spawn-shoot-die-wait-repeat. Often without the 'shoot' part. I cant say I partake in weed but it is a good point that people should try different kinds not stick to just one all the time. Even if you love it. The same can be said of beer. One does not live on Bud and water alone.
