  1. You mean the 'tab' scoreboard or the hud elements next to the frozen icon? The tab scoreboard is engine controlled and correct. Dead is dead. However if the hud element is not correct let me know. Could be its not updating correctly when sudden death starts. The goal is not to make it end quicker. But to end with a victor instead of a draw. Forced uav pushes players closer to one another to fight, which is the actual goal. One issue is if sudden death starts with 8 vs 1 or something like that. So while imo the theory is sound yes I agree that it can be pretty unfair. Therefore thinking about variations on that idea so that it is. Maybe in addition to uav do pistols only. Maybe do forced uav for the first 30 seconds only. Stuff like that. Open to other ideas. However if nothing works well then that's ok also.
  2. Small temp change. In suddendeath there is now a forced uav that shows the location of everybody. Regardless of whether or not you have stealth. The purpose is to help deal with matches that end in no winner because there are too many 'draw' rounds. Either because people camp or a map is simply a little too big for players to attack each other. Not a panacea and might introduce its own issues to consider but an interesting change nonetheless to see how it works. Post here what you think after playing a few matches with it.
  3. I imagine under typical use the first one is fine. But if you plan to push it then the other one is probably better. But best to research them. The 'best' ones are behemoths but they are probably extreme overclockers. Another factor is ambient temperature. No matter what you do it is impossible for a processor to go below it. So people in LA need excellent cooling but people living in the snow can get away with much more.
  4. Yup nothing wrong with a 256 ssd for programs.... assuming not loaded with big games... and a wd black for everything else. Basically thats the idea behind hybrids anyways but keeping a clean boot ssd with programs and swapping out or adding hdds for the heavy lifting as needed is preferable. Albeit more work to set up.
  5. It's simple. The only people that can 'test' cheats are those that have a legitimate and administrative need to do so for the good of the server. And even then the appropriate people must know about it. I would think that is basic adult common sense. If it isnt yours, you dont screw with it. Like spouses.
  6. I assume this Fans: 2x Cooler master hyper 212 evo is the cpu cooler and you mean this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 (one fan) or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13C-000X-00037 (two fans) Yea I got a corsair cooler as well. The longer flat one that fits on the top. A bitch to install. No offense to the bitchers here. A bit pricey compared to the lower cost air coolers but it works well even during several hours of h264 encoding.
  7. Added some config settings that should help with ghettostomp when the server is restarted. Maybe not everything tho because I need to upload a couple script fixes also for the care package and airstrike. Occasionally there is a map with some strangeness and things need tweaking. Its behaving as tho there are two map ceilings at different heights.
  8. Nope didnt work. Unusual.
  9. Yea I know that one from a couple days ago. Nobody told me about it in the past. Made some code changes and it seems to work here for care packages and standard airstrikes without screwing up other maps I tried. Dont know about the other streaks yet but they should have error checks that make them ok. I think someone used the reaper and predator. Hate it when that happens. All seems to be good them 'wham!'. So thx... I think. edit: Some maps are made without air support in mind. But in this case even the standard airstrike I tested on basic mods (no airstrike script changes) didnt work right. Sometimes if you notice dust under helis in the air then its a sure sign of a low ceiling.
  10. He means cpu cooler. One of those big monster air coolers? Or a water cooler? AMDs can get awfully hot at load.
  11. You mean she downloads it instead and then she gives a copy to you? Kinda kinky.
  12. No expert here but I suppose one of the considerations is multiple amplifiers in the same line, so to speak. Otherwise you are amplifying an already amplified sound. Instead of doing it only once directly from the source. Commonly seen in headphones with their own built in amplifiers but I dont know about external speakers.
  13. Sure must be nice to have lots of money to throw at expensive copper wires.
  14. Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies out there.
  15. All you bunny hoppers must be having major orgasms.
  16. Thanks. Barnyard map was missing the server. Uploading now so all should be good the next time it comes around. Its a pretty dark map. Perhaps some just cant see well in the dark even with nvg.

If you use it for any kind of TV out or capture be aware there might be some changed settings needed for ntsc/pal differences. Doesnt mean it cant. But might require setting a jumper or something on the card. Watching bbc stuff in the us via streaming you can tell the conversion from 25 fps to 24 causes the occasional frame skip. Just a thought to keep in mind and read about.
  18. agx contra went all 5 rounds (3-2). Only took 30 minutes instead of the potential 5-9 that could take well over an hour. So this kind of map is a nice change of pace from the typical fast paced run-shoot-die-repeat maps and a good addition to rotations. Will continue to check out more occasional maps with shorter matches for future rotations. More suggestions from maps seen on other servers are welcome. Doesnt mean they will load here if those other servers are lightweight but worth checking out.

I would suspect not. However for the cost, beyond international shipping, must factor in the various import duties and taxes. Something like %15-20 when importing into the UK. And of course no warranty. So in the end when its all added up it might be better to get it domestically anyways.
  20. My previous build my sound card was one of those inexpensive asus headphone amps. Lots better than the sound from a mb I got years ago. However since it was pci and not pci-e it wouldnt fit on the new one. So it was back to on-board again. It is certainly better than the other mb audio but isnt great. So I spent the $25 to get the same sound card again, but pci-e, and its back to where it was. Cheap and not very robust as far as sound cards go but better than mb audio for headphones and the price was right. The drivers and software is a bit old tho.
  21. Was just something I saw at the top of the newegg page 'Warning: This MB doesn’t support 200W or above CPU' I suspect AMD has some kind of compatibility page. Or the MB site does. edit: Many others are more well versed than I am, just something I noticed and maybe someone can check it out. edit again: Seems various computer gurus out there recommend a beefier chipset for the 8350 and above. Maybe something like this, tho more expensive. Anyways, just going by what I am reading not any actual experience with it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130859
  22. You might have to rethink some things and research more. The MB you selected cannot handle the wattage requirements of the 8350.
  23. To add, There are two additional maps to the standard rotation. agx contra and monestary. Both will be best 3 out of 5 due to their size.
