History has shown that voters... except true believers of which there are many more these days... most of the time feel that they have to choose among two bad options picked by the respective parties. Its a very old maxim. We are pretty screwed however if either side of true believers gain absolute power. Which is what they want and to do it with zero opposition. And they will do and manipulate anything to get there. All the while insisting that its the other side that wants it while they dont. The question is which ones know this as those that want the power, and would use it, and which ones actually believe it who will give that power away willingly.

Which server and mod? If its MW2 then time played, for kicks and such for members, is unrelated to gametracker. Time played is in-game running around and freezing/defrosting. It does not count time as a spectator nor in between rounds/maps. Gametracker counts time on that server regardless of whatever mod it has, if any, or if you are playing or spectating.

And thus the disconnect. You could have a lot of Biden voters say you are right who will then tell you to look at the worse alternative that you gave them. A lot of people that voted Trump the last time said the same thing to democrats. Look at what you gave as an alternative to him. The lesson of the day is, dont pick a ripe piece of shit as your candidate and then complain when you lose because voters choose a different piece of shit that may not smell quite as bad so long as you dont step on it.

At that time overall map compatibility was around %95 of 146 iirc. However that is relative. It might have been %70 if limited to your particular favorite maps. Or might have been %100. In any case the ones that didnt work anymore were primarily due to aggregate vertex count among all the various models in the game/map/mod being too much (out of memory error). Reducing that is simply a matter of going through all the models, especially player weapons, and redoing or removing as much as possible without sacrificing important details. The usual painstaking development shit as you go through beta versions.

At the time most things were done in the mod especially the standard stuff. However being a beta4 instead of a beta9 there was still much work to do either to continue to adjust new things... too good or not good enough etc... or to continue others that were in the works but not yet ready for prime time, as it were. The addition of stealing streaks, it was the first time I had seen something like that so a prime candidate for more gameplay to see what worked... for everybody including happy thieves and unhappy victims... and what did not. But in the end, the way to do things is to provide an unsupported and open mod to everyone... as all the others do... and then everybody makes the choice whether or not they want the rote and predictable or the new and unpredictable. Like Pac-Man I suppose. Do you prefer to play it knowing the maze patterns that lets you win every time down to the second? Or would you prefer it where ghost behavior was made a little more random and the repeating pattern has less value? Pretty sure there is a cabinet dip switch accessible in MAME for it. I knew the pattern back in the day very well. But after awhile it got boring. Though it did save me a lot of quarters.

Ok thanks. I really dont want to upgrade and am not particularly worried about vulnerabilities since I am pretty safe where I go and have all the usual tools that watch out for shit. Just that this python update now starting to cause programs to fail with the missing dll is starting to creep up. One day I will make a new system with all the new expensive goodies as my primary and my current one can be reinstalled with win7 at a later date. Either that or just get a used PC laptop from a reputable seller and install win7 with the programs on that. Without a windows license included it would likely be cheaper than otherwise.

Seems more program updates are not working because of changes in python. Yesterday it was Maya and before UE4 was having some problems. If a particular win10+ dll file is missing then python wont load. Which in turn causes programs not to run. The only 'solution' is to downgrade python but thats a band aid also. Looks like the win10 free upgrade thing still works from what I read so maybe go that route. Other than a drive backup first, any gotchas I should watch out for? Also, since my license is win7 pro, will that update to win10 pro? And best way to do it?

Apologizing is a bit strong. I would say they are preempting the lose-lose controversy in a day where every stupid person in the world can make a public fuss... and other stupid people listen. They wanted to draw a bigger female audience in previous shows... read 'ratings'... so played up female characters. This kind of thing shouldnt be a surprise by BCC, basic cable, HBO, or any of the others. Such as hiring an obvious beefcake male, instead of the better actor, to play a part. Been doing that far far longer than 'woke' was even a thought in someones mind. Or casting Brad Pitt to play a UN researcher or some such so as to get paying female movie goers. And why exactly did they change the aforementioned War of the Worlds to where the main characters were a dock worker and his two kids? There are no kids in that story. How about changing the bad guys from Islamic terrorists to neo-nazis in The Sum of All Fears? Or shoehorning a black guy into a WW2 submarine story when we know they were prohibited from serving on one. However in that case pretty much everybody agreed that was all meant about money. The point being is that it is not the first time such things were changed for one reason or another. Only now someone... and then the politicians and the media... manufactured it into some battle for society when in the past it was "whatever dude I will go take my money somewhere else" and then people would get on with it. But now the right sees 'wokeness' everywhere they want to see it. Which is anything they dont like. Which by the way is the very thing the left is doing by seeing racism everywhere they want to see it. So you cant use the same tactics and then complain when your opponents do the same. The hypocrisy is pathetic. Oh and the right never complained (but much of the left did) when Hollywood often went with a different actress because she had bigger tits to get more paying males.

To add: its not as though I am out a lot of money. I had more free games than purchased. But I was incensed at their instance that they could not delete accounts. Of course they could. Perhaps due to an error or some such, shit happens, but seriously Im not a 12 year old kid.

Well, this is going to be fun. I havent accessed any of my EA games in awhile. And in such cases logins tend to require reactivation. No big deal. The problem is, while I have my UID and last known password (which doesnt work) I do not have access to my old email for recovery. After some digging the CSR (from India so a bit of a language issue) did find the account. And then she said it was deactivated. Well... sorry I didnt do it. She insisted they cant delete accounts several times. I kept telling her I didnt either just to provide some kind of olive branch to see if there were options to figure out such issues... which shouldnt be unusual considering the millions of accounts they have. To be fair phone support can only go so far and have limited authority. However she also refused to transfer me, several times, to someone up the chain that could maybe help me. I had enough with her bullshit and just hung up. So, while likely nothing will come of it (being EA) I wrote a long and clear email about the problem, the conversation, and that I have every original email from them for order confirmations (eml archived from my old accounts) for every EA game I ever got. Some actual purchases some free. Also their registrations. I suppose they will still try and insist that they cant delete accounts. Im also sure I am not the first person to complain that they did. If they do, I guess I will have to find where up the chain to send a very nasty email, send every order confirmation email plus several others from them, and see if they will do something to simply make it all go away.
