People who have sand in their vaginas about Hollywood. Usually men. But maybe because they are more likely to open their mouths about it. Especially those that are on TV, on the internet, or want to get elected.

I dont watch the oscars. Pretty boring shit and I just check out the winners the next day. They usually do make good choices as the winners. Doesnt mean they are your cup of tea but its about the job, if they do it well, and are recognized for it. Most of the time. They also do stupid things like choose Argo, likely because its a feel-good movie about Hollywood, over Zero Dark Thirty. Staged, I would say no based on why it happened and where. And because of the ramifications Will Smith will likely face. Not legally but his job with the industry. Chris Rock is one of the best no-holds-bared comedians around but there are issues, such as diseases nobody asked for (unlike being a druggie), where people should shut the fuck up. He said it in front of all of Hollywood. On live TV. What would you have done? A lot of self-styled 'tough guys' here. Or is it all talk?

Patience young Padawan. -
I never go to the CNN website. Or any of them. But I figure I would check it out. But low and behold my script blocker is stopping over 20 other websites from loading on it. 20??? Seriously??? Who needs that many different websites on a single page?

Dont remember. One day I wasnt. Then one day I was.

Why post things that you know nobody can un-see? Unless you have a bit of a sadist component in your make up.

Suggestion: Change XP from 1 to 10 (MW2 DM CoD4)
Sammy replied to WeatherMan's topic in General Discussion
All the custom bonuses (shooting bunnies etc) do not count towards XP by design. Part is for practical reasons for the expanded class system to work properly. Part is because rank ups are very boring. Yes... *yawn*. "Im a General now!". "Yea? And?". -
Dont use FB and never will. But how can a picture be infected with something and then executed?

GASOLINE PRICES in Russia after SANCTIONS 2022!
Sammy replied to MtDeW's topic in General Discussion
How many here use VPN's to get around service provider blocks and prevent their snooping? How about so our government cant monitor what we say and do? Thats what they are there for. And of course, some here know better than others, so you can send and receive video illegally but they would never be able to even know who you are or where you live? Or that you were doing it at all? Even in China, with its so-called 'great wall', its still whack-a-mole. -

Tor and dark web. Torrents. VPN's. Getting around governments and service providers is what they are often used for. Many of us here use some or all of them every day. Thus far, in Russia access to the internet is not shut down. Russia still needs to push its propaganda and lies among other things. But the usual suspects are blocked via their standard routes. We all know well that there are ways around them. Its still whack-a-mole in China even with their wholesale draconian blocks. -
GASOLINE PRICES in Russia after SANCTIONS 2022!

They go up because of issues about supply and predictions about the future. Either because of fear, or actual supply problems. You can however add the above to a whole host of things that will cause supply problems. Embargoes. Refinery fires or damage. Hurricanes. Hackers shutting down pipelines. Time of year. Supply chain problems. Blocking shipping channels. Etc. So if you want to add political shenanigans and war to a big list of things also causing supply problems... which then raise prices... then you would be correct. Taxes and such nor withstanding. -
Heartfelt thoughts for the people of the Ukraine
Sammy replied to Draygunnar's topic in General Discussion
That is state run propaganda and lies. Its also propaganda and lies by individuals or small groups with agendas just as much as state run. Q-Anon isnt a state run group. Well, as far as I know. Then factor in easy world wide distribution for $100 a month and the ability to use open source web site software. Cant forget lying internet media people with sizeable audiences that lie and make up easy to debunk conspiracy theories, if you bother to check, for ratings and... more important... money and fame. Perhaps most important is the number of people what want to believe the lie before you even say it. -

So long as people form such opinions based on the truth, not the lies or what anyone else tries to ram down your throat, then its all good. Way too easy for some guy in a basement with an internet connection to make a total lie seem like the truth if you dont pay attention or question sources. -

Nothing wrong with peaceful demonstrations. You dont have to agree with it. But this is America, not Russia with its anti-war protesters being rounded up by Putin.

Iraq wasnt a democracy. It was run by a brutal dictator and murderer that in ways was worse than Putin. So really it wasnt an example they, nor you, should have used. In any case, the majority of people didnt buy the weapons of mass destruction arguments beyond his well known and documented use of chemical weapons. I didnt. Dont know if you did at the time but my guess is no. So chemical weapons of mass destruction, certainly. And he killed 1000's of men, women and children with them (unlike Ukraine). But nukes? The case made for them was not solid. Thus the senate vote for war was divided and mostly party line. Democrats 50/50. Republicans, only one of them said 'nay'. For info, Biden said 'yay'. As did Clinton and several other high profile democratic senators. But even then, there was exactly that. A vote. Bush couldnt unilaterally decide to go and had to get senate approval. Unlike Putin having all the power and a rubber stamp of a legislature under his thumb. Ours has no problem telling presidents 'no' and they often do exactly that. Now, if you want to go back in American history somewhere that shows this country invading a democracy with the stated goal of regime change please post it instead as your example. A good one I figure would be what this country did to native americans. And it would be a fair argument. It is also one of the darkest stains on this countries history and also not something to compare yourself to in order to justify your actions. -

Not a good way to start a post if you want anyone to take it seriously. As Yoda said, I sense much anger in you. -

2 + 2 != 4 anymore. These days, for many 2 + 2 = brick. Meaning, it makes no sense whatsoever. -

Rock and a hard place, isnt it. Here is a compromise. Finish the pipeline. In return, none of the oil that goes through it may be exported. National security for domestic oil production for North America. -

An interesting comment by Putin when asked about the martial law rumors. "We don't plan to introduce any kind of special regime on Russian territory - there is currently no need," First, 'special regime'? Is that like 'special military operation'? And then, 'currently' no need? Are both of those meant as threats to the people of Russia? He already made it a crime, with prison time, to say 'invasion' or 'war' with Ukraine instead of 'special military operation'. Of course that would make saying 'martial law' instead of 'special regime' a crime. This is what dictators do and he got a law rubber stamped to boot. I dont think anyone in Canada has gotten a law passed making it a crime for calling their leader a dictator. Perhaps I am wrong and some people have been arrested for doing so?
