  1. Yea I know that happens. Unfortunately I cannot do physics where packages would bump off of that but there are one or two other methods I am checking out that might compensate or at least make it a little better. In the meantime be sure that above you... in a reasonable radius... there is nothing that could do that. Even a lamp post.
  2. Move your usermaps folder to a secondary location for storage. In a clean usermaps folder put back the ones you know you will need. If, on map rotation, you start downloading one you already have quit the download and restore from storage. Also, move out any mods from servers you no longer play in.
  3. Played around with renaming the iron sights 'no attachment' option to just be another option for extended mags. So regardless you will have an attachment of some kind. Just in this case its iron sights with bigger magazines instead of an optical attachment or silencer. Works well.
  4. Added to my list of 1.46 things to check out. Everything should reset when you die anyways so there should be nothing to stop. So it sounds like a matter of it not stopping on death. Unless death wasnt in the normal way.
  5. The airstrikes are not random per-se. But they choose random targets among the players.

  7. RC stands for 'remote control'. You dont become the incredible shrinking player and drive around inside of it. Otherwise when your car blows up so do you like a GI Joe action figure wrapped in C4.
  8. Was that actually possible? I dont remember. There are always bugs that you dont know about until someone actually does it. Who was the first that actually decided to even try? Maybe some people just like to look for really silly things that I might have missed.

  10. There is safety in mobility. A car that only sits there and waits is just being dumb. Just be thankful I didnt include cars that could shoot at you.
  11. The standard spawn system actually factors in where you were shot last into the weights for deciding where to respawn next. It counts as a negative to a particular spawn but it is often not enough depending on how big the game is, where friend and foe are at a particular time, and how many spawnpoints the mapper put in.
  12. Heh... no. But after 1.46 is released it will be the last one. Not including any fixes. I just dont have the time anymore and I want to do other things. Anyways, in the other thread I have made posts on what is happening in the mod. I very much appreciate the feedback I have been getting but if any other XI members want to make their voices heard now is the time.
  13. The acr mod? Nope. Infinite ammo... in other words make everyone by default a god-mode cheater.
  14. That was half of it. The other half was upset because they no longer had their 12-year-old noob weapon. IW did the opposite of this purely for money reasons. They pretty much crippled recoil on everything because they wanted to sell more games to people that didnt want to learn how to shoot. Or players were frustrated because recoil meant fewer kills for an audience totally obsessed with KD. Its also why they drastically cut down on the number of explosives. The got more sales by attracting more run and gunners. And that meant more DLC sales. And they were right to do it. They are a business. Since this mod is free I have no such constraints and can do what is purely the best for the game. That includes rebalancing weapons that were incorrectly set the first time.
  15. Going to make the steadycam to be a bit more in line with the bcpu in terms of sway and recoil. Which is funny because no-sway has been one of those things sniper servers did for years and they finally put the option into the game. Sway will be reduced by 50-70% (as opposed to %30 for the stock game) depending on the weapon. The .50 will have 70 but the M21 will have 50. The others will be somewhere in between. In return recoil will be cut in 1/2 for all of them. Thinking about doing a range for that one as well. Bigger percentage for the .50 etc. This kind of balance will be very useful for high recoil weapons. Also, which is why I made the post, if nobody actually uses the no-attachment versions of sniper rifles might as well use them for something else like extended magazines. Which wouldnt be a big deal to do. Ammo loadouts would still be the same. So Regardless of which you will have to choose an attachment. Bigger mags, silencer, or steadycam. The no-attachment versions really are only useful for rank-up servers. I am thinking about doing something similar for the other classes but I am waiting to hear from all of the XI players how many of you actually just use iron sights and why.

  17. It has higher sway settings that affect your aim. Which is the penalty for giving you more zoom.
  18. That is correct the scarh is balanced correctly between power, recoil and all of that. Also ammo and mag counts. Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses. The AK is more powerful but higher recoil etc etc etc. The problem is when you get a weapon with all of the strengths but no weakness whatsoever.
  19. Because the weapon settings were wrong for it. I got tired of the arguments so said fuck it and took it out completely. Even the model.

  25. I could do something as a special weapon to go along with the death machine and war machine streaks. But there arent enough weapon assets left to do it for more than that.
