  1. Well the point was for people to play that one to look for bugs. But I understand most people just want to hop on and play, not be beta testers. A few were found when people were playing it in the beginning which did help spot the big ones and was much appreciated. Most noticeable with the Minigunner and overtime wasnt working correctly. Just got started going through some closed testing for the next one to spot any major problems. Car changes include the green trail and disabled the ability to climb ladders, jump, and mantle. But since it seems in ftag people like those abilities we are looking at how to make that an optional choice. Was told the car speed settings in the configs were bumped up but I havent had time to try it out, especially since there is nobody to shoot at on the beta server.
  2. Ah ok that one. Its a map issue because it lacks full heli support. Common for sniper maps. So when the Minigunner tries to spawn it bugs out. However just sent Rugger the links to the next update for the beta server and on maps like that helis should be disabled so they wont be awarded.

  4. On your PC it would be the cod4 usermaps folder for retail. Not sure about Steam. Each map has its own folder usually with three files. An iwd, ff, and load file.
  5. afaik the Chicago server has the LR versions but the beta server does not.
  6. Been awhlie since I played a dedicated sniper server. Will have to check it out.
  7. Currently in the beta, if you have bomb squad when you either take your own or steal a package you get the award but leave the package there booby trapped. Afterwards the friendly team will see a skull head icon for the item but the enemy will still see the owning team icon. Been thinking about a variation that drops a single booby trap instead. Will depend on asset limitations and a possibility for the future.
  8. Oh oh sorry. I thought you were talking about the care package. I assume that tac nuke vid is of server with the current release not the beta, which should be fixed. edit: I take that back. Not sure its fixed on the other server but it is fixed in the next update. In terms of ftag or other objective games the player who called the nuke is forced to be the last one killed. So in effect he is the last man standing and that team will win the round.
  9. You will only die if you stand under it. Its funny but also done for practical reasons. If it doesnt kill you then you will end up standing in the middle of it when it lands and you will get stuck there. Actually, saw today that it will also trigger an explodable car if it lands on it. Not a good thing and a bug but it was still pretty funny the first time I saw it. Sometimes these unexpected things are worth keeping tho.
  10. I think I posted but yes the custom Backlot maps should all work, but the stock one wont. Too many custom models built into the map. Next beta almost ready. I dont see the beta server populated much but I assume the only significant bugs seen have already been posted.
  11. Could put the hop back but cut the height in half. Also the time in between jumps. Still enough for things like getting over that lip in that bridge map (which I hate because of it) but not enough to bunny hop with a car.
  12. It landed on you? What were you doing standing in the green smoke? As for what purpose it serves, gives you the chance of getting an ac130 for only a few kills etc. Or even tho the chance is small the tac nuke. In the beta it was reduced to 4 kills.

    Nevermind I found a vid of it. Funny that the missiles are dropped and fired from the side like the ac130 guns instead of straight ahead.

    I am checking out some things and I am curious what the MW3 Reaper looks like from the ground. I dont have the game and the only vids I have found are always of the attacking player. Do you actually see the uav?
  15. Is it a glitch? Or the mapper making a funny little room for people to go wtf.
  16. Ok I have been told that it would be better to have 2 iwds for mods, especially for big maps that are over 45-50mb. Might be able to get away with 3. Since this mod is so big that would mean some fairly big downloads for it. But looking at some ways to shink that maybe by changing the size of various sounds. After some comments about the RC testing an addition to the eavesdrop perk. If you have that perk when an RC gets close to you it is frozen and the owner has no control over it. But the timer still runs and will explode after 30 seconds. If the jammer player moves away then the RC can be controlled again. Also experimenting adding c-uav protection to it. So it would be better to call the perk something else. Would anybody use it?
  17. Sometimes its possible that two servers are using the same map but slightly different so their checksums dont match. Aerodrome seems to be a popular one but running it from home I havent run into a problem yet. But still possible there are too many iwds. Looking into that.
  18. The freeze icons are there. But maybe they are smaller than the other mod? I will have to experiment and see. I believe spawn protection is set in the server configs at 5 seconds, which is what the other mods have. I was told yesterday car speed has been increased but I havent been able to see for myself. For all the time I spend modding when I am playing on the server I am lucky to get one. I will also check aerodrome. I dont have it in my usermaps folder so downloding it now. Can you describe the artifacts?
  19. The bad map was aosta valley. Looks like the mapper didnt put in heli support, or forgot some things. Under such conditions the game should not award a heli attack if its in your loadout but when it crashed it was a care package award. I dont know if it was the actual problem so have to test it today. First look I had of a friendly rc with the green trail in an actual game. Dont think it needs to be any bigger. But it might be too opaque.
  20. Shit. Pavelow still not working on new mod. I suppose just have to disable it for now until I figure it out. Bugging the hell out of me.
  21. Could you post that someplace else? xfire website has been really buggy lately and down alot.
  22. Yup the good ol days of ut2k4. Anyways, mantle and ladders were taken out because they were just silly. Also no jumping. Its a model car not the Batmobile. I suppose could add it as an option anyways for servers that want it to be silly.
  23. That is not a bug. Only player wepaons count. I dont know if scores are showing but there are bonus points for first blood and multikills. Also, to keep multikills going you must get another player weapon kill within 3 seconds of the last. The message fade-out should last for 3 seconds. So it its no longer there then the multikill streak is over.
  24. No changes to bullet damage except for the sniper rifles. Which should be back to stock now. But I havent had the opportunity to shoot anybody with them yet.
  25. xfire is down so cant look at the vid. interesting.
