Also, instead of local try auto. The third should be using 'ambience' instead of 'element'. This one should be using 'ambient' instead of 'local'.
  6. Ok, after seeing a few defrosters in action here is my opinion. First one bit of info. There is an old problem where a few bullet weapons are doing twice as much damage as they should be. That is being fixed. Also, short range bullet weapons are hitting it. Which is silly to say the least. Strictly speaking, in the stock games long range air based streaks are only destroyed by missiles and rockets. So destroying them by bullet weapons doesnt make sense anyways but its always been there. The faster speed does seem to make it harder to target. However there is a more important benefit. The faster speed allows it to make a full circle of the map not just 1/2. I havent yet seen enough of the reaper to make a judgement.
  7. The timer for the defroster is unchanged at 30 seconds. Perhaps tomorrow I can get a look at the speed on the server and see how it plays out in the game.
  8. There was a problem with the redirect. A few threads about this. Dunno if Duc figured it out tho.

  10. Hi guys and gals. As a prelude to some additional 147 testing, and after some discussions, the rotation speed of all stealth-UAV vehicles has been increased to %200 to see how it affects gameplay. The thought was to make them harder to hit and shoot down. It also does make it a bit harder to target on the reaper since your look-at is moving faster. So a trade off. Harder to make a kill, but harder to kill you. %200 might be too much but we shall see what happens. Will take effect on next server restart.

  12. CTF really isnt fun without a lot of players. Which made it workable on Unreal since you could add reasonably intelligent bots to populate it. That said, if the server had a good number of players in it I would join. I remember a very long time ago there was at least one CTF CoD5 server that was popular and was usually populated.
  13. Check the error code on the motherboard. It will often help track down where the issue is.
  14. Depends on how you define it. In any case, free housing, free 1st class transportation, free food, free medical for life, free retirement benefits, many more. All from my hard earned tax dollars. While I am researching good places to live in the SF bay area that wont break the bank. Wish I got all that free shit.
  15. "I am groot!" But seriously folks, you might want to give it another name to avoid conflicts in case some other server will be running an older version and forcing redownloads. The background sounds are at a good volume. Your map scripts are still trying to play some other ambient sounds however and there are a lot of 'missing sound alias' errors. As for ambient sounds killing others, it depends on which sound channel you used for those two. Out of curiosity, could you post the alias lines for them?

  18. Not a problem at all. Thats how it works for many round-based games. Trying to auto balance in the middle of a FT round would open a huge can of worms that will have no reliable solution. What if its 5 v 7... but the team with 5 is winning with 6 enemies frozen? To balance, do you switch one of the frozen players so its 6 v 6? Is that player still frozen when switched? Limit it to unfrozen players only? What if the team with 7 players only have 2 unfrozen and the other team with 5 are all unfrozen? do you switch one of the 2 unfrozen players to make it 6 v 6? Thoughts like that give me a headache.

  21. I suppose we should change everything. You are either a member or one of the asshole common folk. Some would call that elitist and PC users get called that already. So does that make XI members the elite of the elite? And if you are an admin, does that make you a leader of the elite of the elite? Maybe the senior admins the dukes and duchesses with Rugger as the king? Its getting mighty confusing if you ask me. The question is whether or not XI royalty is a constitutional monarchy. Or an absolute one.
  22. I think because in the past people were abusing it by constantly calling for votes. There is no way to limit it to admins. And just for clarification in case anyone asks, quite a few mods (including a much older version of OW2) did use a menu-based method that allowed limited access. But it also required adding a guid based system to access an admin menu. You could do some pretty fun things with it. But if anyone remembers, there was once a time where a hacker somehow got my guid and used it to get into that menu. He wreaked some havok and went so far as to ban people, under my name. So that kind of admin control was removed from it and wont be back.
  23. For voting, there are a whole lot of players that are regulars but not in-fact members. Shouldnt they have a voice?
