Ok I must post about a change coming to the server tonight or tomorrow regarding the Duke streak. Because of the sprint-jump-sprint exploit it is being used for unlimited sprint around the whole map mowing everybody down. Its a high value streak to be sure but that is something that must be considered. So to compensate for that I am including a couple of the script changes also put into 1.47 that includes no jump. In essence closer to a tank. The reason for doing this in 1.47 is also as a counter balance to an added streak that is the opposite of Duke. Fast, lower gravity (for you bunnies), and with a rebalanced P90 for close range 'aim down sights' combat (no sniping and poor hip fire). No armor and only 100 health, standard SC, but it will regenerate very fast. Just to note for anyone that asks, gameplay changes like this to the main server are not done without consideration on what to do and also done with consultations. Oh, and it seems I didnt upload the fix for the semtex trick. I thought I did. I cant stop players from attempting it, game limitation, but I can do something if they try. So, for certain unnamed players (and there are several), enjoy it while you can. ?

An actual G13 former clan member is here? I thought maybe they were extinct. Codjumper is another one that provides configs that a lot of servers consider cheats. However they add this little disclaimer of sorts saying that their configs are intended to only be used on certain types of servers. Thats like giving you a lock pick with the understanding that it will only be used on your own doors.

'Ever use the crossbow?' Seriously? ? Crossbows arent bullet weapons. They fire projectiles and operate under different principles. I could make *every* gun in the game a projectile where physics and time come into play. But there are limitations such as the inability to penetrate anything even cloth or chain link fences (game limitation). -

Tracers are FX only done on the client. Bullet rounds arent even physical objects in the game and there is no travel time between A and B. You have a virtual point of origin (the tip of the gun) and a direction. Run a physics trace line. Does it hit anything? Right next to you, all the way across the map, doesnt matter. There is no time component. If so then do the proper damage depending on what was hit. -
Yes CoD4 came out in 2007. And your point being? A highly sophisticated game could come out in 2019 and still suck balls.

And once you got all the challenges, then what? Do it all again? ? The top players here should ask themselves. Do you want to put your skills to the test with some harder gameplay? Or are you not interested in improving your skills and just want to stick to your routine?

Just my 2 cents. No you dont ban really good players. They worked hard at it to get there. That said, is it enough? Once you get really good, is that all there is? Or do you welcome anything that further challenges you and your skill level? What kind of things would that be? Things like weapon/challenges progression is something IW/Treyarch came up with and it works to a point. Until you get to the top and the only thing after that is to start over to get a prestige badge or golden guns. Cosmetic only.

Sure there have been plenty of servers that do that. But its not something for here. Jump shooting is a perfectly valid play style. One thing people need to keep in mind is that difficulty levels should keep pace with skill. When bunny hopping and making kills becomes too easy and rote because people have simply gotten very good at it then perhaps its time to make it a little harder. Kind of like playing CoD SP games. If you completed the last time on 'easy' are you done with it? Or do you bump the difficulty up to 'normal' and play again? One thing you dont ever want a server to become is 'routine'. Change things up to make it fresh. Dont let the chaos become stale. Some things will work and be fun, some things will not. I would like to think that a lot of people come here because there are a lot of unique features. Especially the streaks. People love their streaks. But also because the rules arent draconian and pretty open so long as you arent a cheater and/or abusive to other players. And of course there is no substitute for good admins. Its also in my humble opinion probably the most advanced version of freezetag out there. So I doubt any update is going to empty the server. As for a 'winning thing', remember how some people whined like little babies when the server was 'forced' to the current 1.46 version? At that time, the old version was 'the best'. Despite the bugs and significantly worse map compatibility. New isnt always better. Then again, neither is old. The defrost airburster strike was revisited as a stand-alone streak award. Not as an expansion of the mininuke that both defrosts and kills. There are already enough complaints about the car.

Nope I havent done anything regarding jumping. Or hopping around like a little bitch I put it. As for any changes to it anyways, well the big mac hasnt changed in forever because people still buy it. Still a terrible burger tho.

Well........ I think I posted this all elsewhere. The car divided into two. Explosive OR defroster. Both at 3 kills. In line with the uav and sentry. And since the defroster car is essentially defenseless it is quieter and more health. So you have a choice. Get your kill but you wont help your team. This isnt a new idea of course and has been talked about for awhile. Stealth reworked vs betties etc. If you walk, it wont see you. If you run then its detection range is cut to 1/2 but you arent immune. And just to remind people currently if you have stealth, but fire an unsilenced weapon, sentries and helis will see you for a few seconds. The current Saritch *IS* a little bugged in a couple circumstances due to an error on my part that I didnt know about. Player damage changed a little. Shots to hands/feet are ignored. Lower arms/legs 1/2. However headshots and the neck are automatic kills armor or not regardless of weapon. Care Package removed to allow room for different streaks and its a bit redundant. Instead the Strike Package dropped down to 5 kills. Due to popular demand I made up an airstrike defroster (no damage just friendly defrosts). Same kill requirement as the B2. Combat Medic is admittedly problematic due to different map sizes. Also the mentioned 'post-streak' one. The reason for the post streak protection is to go with the default setting of you standing there with the pad (BO and all the others) and vulnerable while using it. That doesnt apply here of course. *IF* everybody thinks its a real problem I am open to ideas on doing a different approach to the extra perk spawn protection. I tried a method where the final two seconds you are seen, without a raised weapon, but you cannot be damaged. Of course those that are obsessed with that perk hated it. Posted a vid. SAMs will shoot down packages if close enough and if its at a good angle. A couple additional things it will go after if the circumstances are right. As for jumping, I didnt mess with that because its up to the clan whether or not to reset jumping to the game default (the old 'way it was meant to be played' arguments) that slows you down on the second jump. Currently it doesnt due to server settings. Again, if this is a real problem you could do something where you dont change hopping but maybe lower the accuracy a bit. And as for why I spend time now and then still working on this, I enjoy the problem solving and the challenge. For the spawn camper thing, which might make the whole combat medic issue moot, just occured to me that it might be possible to make up some kind of 'warning' for your spawn area. If an enemy makes a kill inside of a certain radius of spawn you will see a printed message like you would for incoming airstrikes. "Enemy in your spawn area" or something like that. But again only if that enemy makes a kill. So if you want to hide out in their spawn area and do nothing but defrost there wont be a warning. Spawn camping is permitted, per the rules, but a little heads-up wont hurt.
