    I think the short answer is that we're looking at what mods work well on Linux servers vs Windows servers with an eye toward obtaining dedicated servers of our own rather than renting shared server space. It's a strange period of trial and error that we're going through that may well end up with us having a greater variety of great COD5 WaW servers rather than 2 popular and 3 mostly ghost-town servers. But we need to know what works well where first.

    Attention all COD5 World at War Soldiers: New map rotations are now in play on the DM Server (aka the Breakfast Club server in the morning) and the Vietnam FreezeTag Server. Now get in there and kick some ass and clink some heads! That is all.

    @@Labob @@2_MANY_BEERS - You guys know it's rotation change weekend, right? I'm just about to get underway with that... Just wanted you to know in case you made changes to the rotation yesterday or today that is going to go away in just a little while. Late start today because Johnny wouldn't be able to help because he was making wine today, so we didn't do it in the morning as we usually do after the Breakfast Club.

    I learned long ago... Aim just right and you'll either hear "Clink" for a headshot or, for the bunny hoppers, "Tink" for a little-headshot. It's as simple as that, and it's all good.

    The XI Downloader has been updated to include maps for the REDLINE server and DM Server 2. Sorry this took so long guys. I kept spacing it out. Such an Idiot, I know. Beers - it's your test rotation #1 that's in play for DM Server 2.

    Well, if multiple CA members are experiencing difficulty, I'd be using PingPlotter to see if there is a peering network issue in CA. It is possible, although highly unlikely except by complete mistake, that the Activision server IP is blocked at the peering level. PingPlotter would show that as no connectivity past a certain point. But that assumes you know the IP of the Activision server. I do not. Tracing the route to our game servers is not the same as tracing to the Activision master server. Two different things.

    I'm okay with this. The Main DM Server redirects to the Overflow, right? That way it's an automatic push. And I think someone (was it you beers?) who said the "Overflow" server should be renamed to something less only-if'ish, and more like they are equals. Perhaps just "DM1" and "DM2." I agree with that, too.

    Totally agree, @@Labob. The REDLINE maps are the best looking in all of COD5. We should all play that server more often!

    In that case, ask an admin to restart the server to see if that helps.
