  1. Wow - Ian can chew gum, sing, and play a flute all at the same time. Impressive!
  2. I'm totally open to suggestions. Dis you keep the address of that website?
  3. I'm sorry Fire. Be strong, not only for your father, but for you as well.
  4. You could have done this on any street in any country, but it is certainly worth a good laugh wherever you do it.
  5. I'm not even sure how long I've owned this mouse it's been years! It is the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned. It has excellent gaming features, but is perfect for non-gaming applications as well. When not playing games, I unlock the scroll wheel and I can freewheel through a document or webpage at warp speed. Most people just never understand what a beautiful thing that is because they've only experienced a mouse that limits rotation of the wheel to a couple of ratchet clicks at best thereby forcing you to continuously roll the wheel yourself to get anywhere. Personally I can't think of a better mouse! 6. My guess is the ban system has not wrapped itself around the new Overflow DM server. I'll post a ticket so @@Sitting-Duc can look at that. Thanks beers!
  7. When I switched to Charter Business, I was offered (and accepted) an 80 down, 5 up pl,an. Due to some bundling issues, it actually worked to my advantage to take the 80x5 plan, which is the highest speed plan they offer. Immediately after I installation, I needed to do some large file downloads - Battlefield 4, and LibreOffice as a couple of examples. What I noticed is that running a speed test, I found Charter was actually over delivering - I was getting better than 80 down. But using a bandwidth meter, I found that my download rate getting Battlefield 4 and LibreOffice seemed to be capped at about 10 down. That's 70Mb I was paying for and not getting in the real world. Speedtests are NOT the real world. I immediately downgraded to their next step lower plan - 60x4 - and noticed no real-world difference other than a fatter wallet at the end of the month.
  8. Sorry, I don't have a fancy graphic to announce this like JohnnyDos always did, but the new map rotations are in for the COD 5 Servers and the Downloader has been updated as well. The DM Overflow server has not been changed because I cannot get into it at the moment and it has not been set up in the Downloader to accept the current list of maps that are running. I'll get to that as things become finalized on that server. It should provide a nice alternative when you perhaps don't like the map playing on the main server, or if the main server is full.
  9. It is fun to experiment with other guns and unfamiliar perks. There are lots of styles of play, too. Some work better than others for any given person. Most of all, don't sweat it and have FUN!!!
  10. Agree, beers. Those same stats put TITHEAD so far above me that I had to give him shit for it. He sits his ass in a corner and flames anyone who doesn't see him skulking there. Motherfucker. LOL Anyway... Dean, your game is behaving normally from what I can see. There may be tweaks in that new router that you've not done, but I doubt it's an issue. Personally, I just rack it up to the fact that my reflexes just are not as sharp as some other players. It's that simple. You may have to just acquiesce to your inherent limitations as a human being. You're not the game god you think you are. Neither am I. You knife my ass repeatedly. Given a knife only, I would finish last every time! I've seen you walk away in first place using that strategy. IDK. You're doing as well as could be expected. And, btw, cutting ping limits to 250 would exclude Panzergirl for sure. She pretty consistently runs the 280+ ping line. .
  11. Yeah, you're right @@LOCO. I checked with regular Notepad and that file looks a mess. I never use Notepad, so it's easy for me to forget that not every one sees things as I do. @@BigPapaDean - Two options: 1) Download, install, and use the editor LOCO suggests (I use that one too) - Notepad++. It's a much better text editor. It will show you the file the way you expect to see it - one entry per line, not all run together on one line. 2) PM me your file, I'll fix it, then return it to you in a PM. .
  12. Would you like me to smoke that for you too, Dean? (our standard reply as kids when someone would try to bum a smoke from us, then bum a light, too...) So you found your config_mp.cfg file, right? (C:\Users\Dean\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\BigPapaDean\config_mp.cfg - with appropriate changes to bold stuff if necessary.) Fine and make these line read like this: seta cg_drawFPS "Simple" seta cg_drawFPSLabels "1" seta cg_drawFPSOnly "1" seta cg_drawLagometer "1"
  13. What are you talking about, Toes? It's in the same place on 8 as it was in 7.
  14. Dean, you Idiot - you're supposed to replace the "User Name" part of that with your actual user name! As in: C:\Users\Dean\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles (or whatever you use to log into Windows with if it's not "Dean") Also note that it's "\" on a local physical device, but "/" on a virtual folder (like a "library") and also on the web. Also case doesn't really matter.
  15. Set Windows Explorer to show hidden files. Also make sure it's set to show file name extensions. The path @@snaFU73 gave you in the 1st reply was correct; the AppData folder is hidden.
  16. Glad I could help, Johnny! Merry Christmas, lol
  17. @@BigPapaDean - This is my router: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FB45SI4/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00FB45SI4&linkCode=as2&tag=girlsrockradi-20&linkId=RLLG2CSKGI7JJ7OP (careful - there are 3 routers there on that page; mine's the 66U for $159.99. There are selection buttons for the models under the main description.) Love it. There are a couple of models above it, but this is a great router at a solid price point. 2.4 and 5GHz wireless bands simultaneously. My smartphone loves the 5GHz band, and my older laptop and other stuff that's not 802.11n (5GHz) compatible works just great on the 2.4GHz band.
  18. Damn. Only one? Where do I buy more?
  19. Both Dirk and Johnny have been massively important to the COD5 side of XI. I will miss them in everyday life in the servers and the guidance they have given me. Thank you, guys! A special thank you to Johnny for being the ever-popular spearhead of "JohnnyDos' Breakfast Club" I know you always downplayed your name plastered all over the Breakfast Club, but your personality was one of the biggest draws for a generation of XI players and guests. You're a very funny and gregarious Canadian guy, 'eh? And a good friend. I have enjoyed working with you on the server admin team for COD5. I'm sure everyone hopes you'll come back and say hi every now and again, so don't be a complete stranger, okay? And of course I'll see you in BF4 anyway...

  21. Frentik I'm a firecracker, got my own lighter. Set me off, the place is on fire! Not a Bitch (acoustic)
  22. I feel like, "The new Phonebook is here - I'm somebody now!"
