If you are one of the many who are in the NVIDIA graphics card camp, you may like this GeForce utility. It analyzes your system, advises you of driver updates, and - most of all - it checks your installed games, and where possible, not only suggests the optimal game settings, but actually makes them for you. Crysis 3 comes to mind. It's a very GPU intensive game with LOTS of settings making tweaking it a crap-shoot at best if you don't know what you're doing. The NVIDIA GeForce Experience program takes the guess work out of knowing the impact of each of those cryptic settings. When it's done adjusting your settings, you can be pretty much assured you're seeing the best possible result - the one that pushes things to the limit, but doesn't lag out the game with crappy frame rates. You'll get the best of all worlds. My Crysis 3 benefited immensely using the GeForce Experience. Not all games are covered. COD5 WAW for instance - not covered - but these days, just about anything can run that game comfortably without a lot of settings tweaks. But for contemporary games - the ones coming out right now, the NVIDIA GeForce Experience should have you covered. And remember, whenever you do an NVIDIA driver update, always perform a "Custom" install and select to perform a "clean install." So much I could say about the movie, but won't for obvious reasons. Hell of a flick! Recommended. 3D and all. On the 3D bit, I got the feeling several shots were made to enhance the 3D effect, not always with positive result. Since the glasses are a passive technology, I fail to see why you cannot keep your glasses from the last show you saw in 3D and use them to offset the price of the next show you see in 3D. Instead of $3 extra, only $1 or $0.50 - after all, presumably some of the extra goes to the increased production costs, not just the glasses, so I'm fine paying a small surcharge. But the cost for my 2 tickets was $28 and that crosses the .25C-Note mark, which makes it all seem absurdly pricy to me. Add on another ~$20 for popcorn, soda, and Bunch-a-Crunch, and you've got a hellofa dent in your credit card.

Are sexual orientation slurs included in the prohibited stuff? Just a point of clarification there because I was once asked to explain XI's policies in the COD5 MW Server one evening in light of our servers being "adult servers" and without restriction on language. I included racial and sexual orientation comments in relating my understanding of the rules. I also noted that, as I am not an Admin, I am not qualified to enforce anything and that all of this is explained on the XI website, and since I couldn't read them verbatim while there playing the game, that I was simply relating my understanding to the best of my recollection. The discussion became "spirited" and there was a lot of chatter about how it's not at all uncommon for people to use any of the many colorful ways to proclaim another players "gayness," for lack of a more PC way to put it. I basically at that point deferred to the "no personal attacks" rule by saying that if it comes across playful and not insulting, it may or may not fly under the rules, but if it came across as rude, rude, and clearly as an attack, then certainly not. Did I get it more or less right?
