Very cool! I would go see the Eagles in a heartbeat. Don't know about Joe Rogan though. I mean his only real success if you can call it one, is having hosted Fear Factor. I mean he is the joke/punchline with his failed attempt at being an MMA fighter. As far as Sammy Hagar, think the guy is awesome, but isn't he supposed to be dead? LOL

An elderly man at the cash register didn't have enough money to cover his food. He was only a couple of dollars short and I had the money... As he was deciding what to put back (and he only had staple food items, meat and vegetables) I gave him the money. The tears welded in his eyes as he thanked me over and over. I didn't think it was a big deal, it was only $2! The lady then went on to serve me and said "Thank-you so much. That man is a regular here." She then went on to tell me that his wife had passed away from cancer some months before. Only then did I understand why my small act of kindness had him close to tears.

I hope everyone gets the chance to do something like this. No matter how small you or I see it. It made a difference to him.

I was at autozone buying some wiper blades during a rainstorm (when else do you replace wiper blades? lol) while i was deciding which ones to buy an older lady (reminded me of my grandma) walked up and asked me which wiper blades are the cheapest that she's "tired of looking out a streaky window" . . . . .we talked for a few minutes and I asked her what kind of car she had and I picked out the blades  for her car and she followed me to the cash register. I quietly told the guy behind the counter to ring mine up twice because I wanted to pay for hers and he did. I smiled at her and told her "have a nice evening" on my way out. As I was installing my wiper blades the car parked next to mine had left the lights on and one of the lights was burned out. When the lady came out of the store with a big grin and told me what a kind man I was and she  walked over to the car with a burned out headlight. I quickly walked over and told her i would install her wiper blades for her. I removed one wiper blade and told her I selected the wrong blades for her car and I needed to return them for the right ones. I went inside and told the guy behind the counter I needed a headlight for her car  . .he smiled and said "you dont know that lady but you bought her wiper blades and now a headlight . . .. . . well . . .I'm in"  . . . he gave me the headlight for free.

She had an older car changing the headlight was ez and when I finished she said " you didn't get the wrong wiper blades did you" (I couldn't lie to "grandma") smiling I said "no" she insisted on getting my name and 2 days later a knock at my door and I opened the door to see that nice lady holding a plate full of chocolate chip cookies.

It made me feel good to help her out and the cookies were a bonus
(if your wondering I was going by the autozone later that day and I stopped in to see if that guy that gave me that headlight was working and he was . . . . .  .I gave him some of the cookies)

At the time when this happened I didnt have much money myself  but it was a small price to pay for a great plate of cookies and the hug and smile I got from that nice lady.

Picking up the tab for a needy family, paying the toll for a stranger in the car behind you, fixing the headlight on a little old ladies car . . . . . . .we must be a bunch of IDIOTS!!!

BEAUTIFUL POPS.....It is events like this that give people hope and restore faith...Im a simple man and some times it is the most simple acts that measure the most...
I tried to instill this in my children and only God knows if it will work....Its not what you get but rather what you give with out needing to get in return...

I like when you get a chance to pay it forward without the person even having a chance to say anything

on several occasions while traveling i have for what ever reason pulled off at an exit i normally wouldnt for fuel. there was somebody there needing a few gallons of fuel to get them back home from a job interview or an family emergency trip.  the most recent  was a little different  when i had pulled up there was a car at the next pump.after i had finished fueling they person was still in his car.  i had noticed while i was fueling the sound of coins.  as i walked by he was getting out of his car to start fueling. I slid my card in his pump told him to pump 20 and to please bring me the receipt when he was done. as i was walking in he  asked  "why,    why are you doing this." I just shrugged and walked inside.   as i was walking out of the store and back to my truck the guy handed me my receipt and said thank you.  as i shook his hand he told me he had count out 6 dollars. the last of his change. to get him and his son home. I told him to go get his some something to drink and a snack.  he asked again why. I told him that no parent should have to decide between gas to get home food for their familly or a small treat for the child who deserves something special.

A random act of kindness is always called for when the opportunity presents itself. I think most people do it whenever possible and never expect anything in return. One in particular that stands out for me happened a couple years ago. I noticed a woman and two small children standing in the store parking lot with a cardboard sign that read, "out of gas and stuck, need to feed my kids". You see that a lot out here in California and I'm sure a lot of the time it's a scam, but after I spent an hour buying groceries, there was the woman in front of me in line with her kids buying bread, milk, and bologna to feed her kids. She was short a couple bucks and I moved in front of her and swiped my debit card. The checker looked at me and smiled, and I said I wanted $100 cash back. The checker got her managers approval and the mother of the kids started crying and thanking us for helping. Hopefully she got a full tank of gas and got to wherever she needed to go with the kids.

I'd much rather give to somebody I can see is in need instead of a charitable organization that probably keeps two thirds of the donation for administrative costs.

I would have paid it if i could as well. My dad showed me how good it feels to help out people when they truly need it and you are capable of doing so. When I was about 9 yrs old he picked me up from the airport and it was pouring rain. He noticed a car broken down in the middle of a busy main street. Every car was just going around it. He slowed down and noticed there were 2 people in the car. They were elderly probably in their late 60's early 70's. Never the less, my dad stopped figured out what was wrong with the car, gave it a temp fix had enough to get it to a shop. He drove in their car with the mans wife and the man drove my dads truck with me, dropped off their car and then gave them a ride home. These days I wouldn't go as far as leaving my child with a stranger, but I myself have done for others as he did for them when the opportunity had come up.

This solves your problem Steve, you can combine law enforcement and healthcare together. You can have your prostate  checked or a pap smear done while a routine traffic stop.

Its justified that someone was fired.
