Beers has anybody or everybody who ever played on an XI cod5 servers ip addy and guid number probably all past player profile names. As a head admin it was his job to know that info . It is on his hard drive. And means absolutely nothing except in game. If I ever needed anybody's info that I did not have I'd ask him and he would have it. Does not mean he does not know what side of the toilet bowl you pee on or if you use the hose to blast the kingons in the bowl away. Just saying.

First try to understand that beers server is his server and he can do as he pleases. As a COD5 admin I would not go into his server incognito looks like your spying. REally don't do that. Use your name and tag drop the admin from it though. Can't say he won't ban you from anger but you stand a better chance of playing. If you use the saying I just wanted to play with people I know and they were in his server. PFFt sit in our server people will come might take a bit but they will come. Yes Beers still has a hurt butt what do you expect the time and effort he applied to XI is WOW . Might take some time for the kick wound to heal. I'm sure DJ is hurting a bit to anybody drop him a hello lately ? Its a two way street. So want players less drama would help. If your a head admin or an old admin who was not a friend or fan your banned already. He does know how we work. I do not know the story of his ban or the process of how it went down but I would think there was a good chance it went to a vote. I can see it so can Beers . People voted against him he does not know who so your banned through association . Want all this to go away ? Just drop it and try to get along with everybody. Forgive and forget. What are you using for an antivirus scanner ??? So insert dvd into player. When auto run starts decline it. Open windows explorer open the dvd. Right click on the setup.exe . Under the compatibility tab select run this program in compatibility mode for and select xp service pack 3. Also select run as an administrator. Click apply XI servers for WAW do not use punkbuster so I recommend you do not install it. You will get an error when you launch the game but get rid of it and go find a server. As for the game patches 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7 You can skip one or all not my place to say what is right or wrong. I install all of them in sequence. That should get you up and running.

Mods are mods and map files are map files. The two never touch so to speak. It could be they have changed there ver of the map added something to the iwd like a custom image. The odds of you playing the same map on two different servers are big. I'd keep the one that works on our server and see if it ever happens again. You can also delete the mod folder and get a fresh one when you join the server again. It doesn't haRM ANYTHING. And you get a fresh copy of the mod .

How about that merging stuff I mention. If we run one map on two servers by the level rotation and share the IWD's . The check is not there as the rotation cfg is not in the package. The game does not quite work that way. What happens is the server tells the client what map to play and the client plays the map. The only thing the server does with the actual map file is tell the client where to get it if the client does not have it. And if the server is pure as ours are is compare the files for security reason. This time the server found the clients map file was not the same as the one it has. So impure client. What the server does not know is it has the wrong file not the client. This is also one of the reasons the game crashes when you do not have the map. It tells the client where and then sends that client off to go get it. There is a problem with the server and the client handshaking on that task. AND BOOM ya crash most of the time.

Merlin got it right sometimes when you download then upload the new map rotation to the redirect it drops a few bytes Merlin just has to send a fresh copy of that map to the redirect. So noboby should delete the map till the second time around. @ShaunZAR the reason the server started and ran like a top was it resets the map rotation to the first map. Next time the bad map comes into play you would get the same error. Something the admins should watch for when new rotations come into effect. Make Merlins life easy get the name of the map either the one it crashed on or the one you were playing.

from the taskbar type system configuration open it when you see it go to startup tab then click open task manager . From there you can right click under the status colum and disable stuff. Still what are you using for a AV ?
