potentially ? this is happening more and more lately. Yes the last one was an ex XI member . It was decided that is was better to ban the person who buy his game play ended up disrupting the server. And I agree what would a too good score be a 60/40 K/D ratio maybe consistent scores that are 50% more than the next player. Or is it all about the server spirit as in people just go there to relax and fool around not take anything to serious and a good player ruins that for them. Still leaves the question is it right to ban somebody because they are so good they piss other players off. There is no winning answer here it is purely academic .

well if this thread can be considered addressing the topic of is it right to ban a player who is so good he pisses everybody off to the point they want him kicked from a server. Or is that just a wrong thing to do. Voted on no this is not a vote and there is no vote going on in the back ground. Harry started this post to see what the general feeling of everybody is on this topic. My opinion is yes its wrong to kick somebody for there skill level. My opinion is its wrong to let one person mess up a server so bad that it makes people leave a server. So my job is to find some common ground in that mess and apply a fix. Right now I do not have one that would work. So in the end what usually happens is it is better to ban 1 person than a server full of people. And yes right now as this is the only workable solution that makes it the right solution. Shitty way of handling it but it is what it is.

As much as I would like to kick 6 or 7 head strong assholes and do the right thing . Many think that's the wrong thing to do in this case. Baron was right Harry. Yes I,d say 6 to 10 players are the cause of all this. I would like to say I'm the leader of the we do not kick good players and I'm sure cod5 admins would agree with that statement . I will never let a player get kicked because he is too good. You all have to see the line that is crossed when 6 or 7 regular players people who have been around forever get a bur up there butt about another player. What's our admin team to do here kick the core players of a server for one player ? That is just one big step to take. Thee admins try to make the server run smoothly. They are the ones in the server daily they get to make the call. The head admins give them direction. When the server admins say a certain player is fdistrupting a server for what ever reason we have to take there word for it and act. When those same admins come to us and say that player is too good to play on that server we do tell them that is not a reason to kick a player . From there thing always escalates to crap. Results read above thread. I did say this is not easy. Not a single person has found a solution that would work for all. Harry is going to count up the yeas and nays here and make a good point that it is ok to ban players for being to god for that server. Me i think im goingbto setup a server call it open to the public or your safe here and let the admins know this server is for all skills and let the group that likes a more calm server ? Play over there. Litle problem to hard to inforce . So lets get positive cod5 dies not have that many players to chose from .

To help ya all . We do not ban people because there to good. What happens is the regular players just get so fustrated . They start to complain and in a short time the server looks like this post. We talk with the player who is now distrupting the server every time they play. We ask them to tone it down ECT. ECT. So after all that if thing work out all's well if not we do the ban thing. They appeal now everybody gets a say in the ban . And it's ussually ban stays. What it comes down to is XI members and regular players injoyment worth more then one player. The big downside is XI does look really bad to the gaming comunity. Some things to consider . We do have rules and we are breaking them by doing this. We do not attack or harras players for player style. That's a bit two faced to be honest. Our admins are suppose to inforce that rule but because its to be inforced on XI members or they agree with the members they do not. That is what this is about. How does one fix it.

First ya give them a place to go if the people they wish to not play with keep following them I will place a password on it after that happens I guess the server they left will be open to all skill levels. See it makes no sense

I'm working hard to find a way to end this stupidity and keep everybody somewhat happy. Right now I have a server so if the members do not want to play with somebody they have a place to run and hide. I don't like that anymore than banning people for no reason. Being to good is not a reason to ban somebody never has been. Its always run the course to the point of disrupting the server and we do ban for that. Its almost policy in the cod5 dm server to drive the people they do not want to play with nuts to the point they do become disruptive and then the head admins have to step in and yes members before guests. Shitty shitty way of handling this. So when I figure out how to manage the problem I will have a server for both types of players. I just at this moment do not see how I can do it and have it work. But I want a safe server for good players to play in where they will not get run over by the XI bus. But then it will be a lonely server maybe we can mail out eye patches to the better players we do not ban pirates last I checked @JFF echo

keep in mind your not getting to the server any faster and your not going to get any info from the server any faster. The server feeds everybody at the same speed. all your doing is boosting what the server gives you. And your video card is only adding or deleting what it gets from the server.
