  2. I would never let a bad map have this many fights. But as a cod5 guy who made a cod4 map that drives the cod4 crew crazy I would say my map is AWSOME
  3. LOL jordan was fixed last year. On the redirect there is two of them jordan and jordan4 can't remember which is which now but load them up the real perty one is the good one.

  6. Some data will make sence some I don't get and probably never ill but it does give you a good indication of where your game memory is and what is getting out of hand. How much is out of hand thats a guess. When you game exceeds something it will let you know

  10. If you want to see whats what in your map just selcet bsp in your compiler and it will give you all the data from your map.
  11. LOL but you texture brushes and patches. Those prefabs have textures that have collision built in I would assume. Keep in mind not all textures have collision thats why you can walk through some buildings fences and such. I'm wondering why you seem to think collision is a bad thing ??
  12. I'm thinking your missing what collision actually is. If you use a player clip to stop somebody from walking through a model or brush you have crreated a collision. Same goes for clipping a model it would now be a collision model. or a collmaps. If in the 2d window you select model and instead of going to xmodel you scroll up to collmaps you will find a whole bunch of models already clipped. So a collision is something in game that will stop something. A player from walking through something a projectile from going through something. Stuff like that.
  13. no stretching brushes or patches that are textures will cause light issues not collision problems.

  19. Not 100 % sure but its not so much how many brushes or patches you have but textures and xmodel that would chew up game memory. But out of curiosity what ya building that takes that many brushes. There was one person in here who built a small house and made every 2x4 a brush very detailed very bad too. Still it worked.
  20. LOL all these post are from people with lots of experience doing this sort of thing and the advice they give is great. But here's the thing. Make a map and have fun doing it. make the mistakes we will help you figure out how to fix them and why you made them. Have a question ask away we can answer most of them. Best way to learn. After a few maps you will get the idea for your great map. Then the rules apply grasshopper. Plus you will know where your skills lie. Me for exaple I can't get sound to work at all always need help no idea why just frustrating .
