Sweet trip I remember doing trips like that we called em "power runs" cause you seem to be running full power from the time you leave till time you get home. The other night I was out in the boat and there was no moon at all dark as hell and I had my camper right on the shore and it was still hard to find with the spotlight. I would have gladly let him have my tasty fillets . . . . The last time I had a "meeting" with a bear i was fishing and had this feeling someone was behind me. Because the sound of rushing water was loud I couldn't hear anything . .just "felt" something was not right. It was dark and I had my headlamp on so when i turned around I had 3 sets of eyes looking at me . . . yes 3 Momma and her 2 cubs were sitting about 25 feet behind me .. just sitting there . . . . .I bout shit! I dropped my fishing rod and pulled my spotlight and .40 at the same time . . .momma stood up and I spotlighted her and she turned around and started to leave cubs right behind her . .. . .she stopped and turned around and stood up and made a weird sound then they left. They (the bears) have a right to be there as much as I do and its pointless to just shoot them because they are too close to me . . dont get me wrong I would have defended myself if the situation got out of hand. It's a good feeling knowing I didnt lose my cool and shoot em.

Last night i decided to go down to the river and do a little Walleye fishing. I had a dozen or so minnows and figured If i was lucky i could get a few of those tasty fillets for tomorrows dinner. About an hour or so and 2 nice walleyes on ice I hear something a little down river. I turned the spot light on and about 40 yards down river was a Black bear . . . .pretty big (i'm estimating around 300lbs) and hes headed my way. I tried to stay calm . . pretty hard to do but this isn't my first "meeting" with a bear. I reached in my jacket and pulled my .40 to greet him if needed. He had his head down sniffing and I startled him when i yelled "Bad Bear . .get outta here" by now he was 25 ft from me so I chambered one up and pointed the spotlight in his face. At 15 feet my finger was twitching but my spotlight was blinding him and he started moving away . . pausing he stood up and looked at me and kinda grunted then he disappeared in the trees. When I looked back at my fishing rod it was getting pounded by a walleye and another one was on ice. That some bitch wasn't gonna keep me from fishing and I'm thinking bout sending him the bill for having my underwear cleaned . . . lol

After reading this post I was curious about how well my guns would behave if I left them alone out of the safe on the table. I placed the Israeli mfg UZI with a full clip next to the Brazilian made .357 and the Canadian made Savage .32 auto was Barrel to Barrel with the S&W .40 I completed the "gun off" with a Philippine made 12 Ga. holding a .25 Colt auto in a compromising position all with full clips. I hung several paper targets around the room to try and provoke a restless trigger into showing itself. I then left the room for several hours all the while listening for gun violence to erupt.When I went in the room later I found everything on the table as I had left it except that the .25 colt was trying to get the .32 auto to switch the safety off and the .32 was too embarrassed (that little colt is awful persuasive) So my results are similar to Shamu's in that no shots fired . Even after setting these firearms out and making sure that they had motive and opportunity they managed to keep their cool. It's pretty obvious that the guns are not the problem.

Looks pretty cool. This is a step up for the UK after not having been a big player in the area of human launch vehicles. It's nice to see our friends across the pond with a hi tech toy to be proud of. Any timeline on when this new craft will be operational?

Damage you made a very wise decision. The fact that you experienced the effects of weed and found it enjoyable yet realized that you are the "breadwinner" in your household and made the right choice, sometimes you can't have it both ways. Whereas I don't find smoking a lil weed a crime I do take offense to anyone that lets weed interfere with their responsibilities. Someone who chooses to use cannabis is destined to become Psychotic? Really? That would imply that everyone who enjoys smoking some weed from time to time will eventually become Psychotic . .. just a matter of time . .. . .tic . . toc .. .tic .. toc . . .tic . . toc . . . nope just not feeling it . . . maybe later. The point of the post is to suggest that perhaps people who drink and get angry should consider smoking a little weed to relax instead. It's well know that Alcohol is a problem for a large number of people in America. I enjoy a beer from time to time and I smoke a little weed sometimes. I picked up the newspaper while in the "reading room" (only time I read a newspaper) I came across a story about a guy that stopped for a few beers on the way home from work, he had a shitty day and was kinda "pissy" when he got home. To make a long story short he ended up slapping his wife around and kicking the dog and ended up in jail. This happens way too much and I got to thinking . . .when I smoke a little weed I'm relaxed and my bad day fades away . . . . for me It would go like this . . . I would enjoy a couple puffs from the pipe on the way home from work and walking in the door I would say .. . ."Hi honey I'm home anything for dinner"? it wouldn't really matter what her reply was chances are i would have the munchies and anything would sound good in fact even if she didn't cook anything That would be fine . . .now I could have say cookies covered in ice cream or a big bowl of frosted flakes . . ..mmmm When the dog comes along and is wigglin his tail and glad to see me I promptly serve him up the same thing I'm having and were both smilin ear to ear. After tying up some flies for fishing or reloading some ammo or some other hobby (not watching TV . . If you think weed rots a persons mind you watch too much TV) it's off to bed. Since I didn't "toss" the wife around when i got home and she didn't get tired making dinner for me she is much more likely to climb on top and rock us both to sleep. As a bonus no hangover in the morning. Maybe the working man should be issued a small amount of weed when he gets off work . . . . . .Ice cream and frosted flakes sales would soar and there would be less domestic violence.
