OK shamu, my wife & I bought an old 74 fiberglass AMF Crestliner 17 1/2 foot deep vee open bow 10 years ago. 115 Johnson, 2 cycle 84 outboard. Beautiful boat, creme hull w/orange interior, anybody knows it on the Illinois river. It has cost us nothing other than license & fuel, and has been an absolute blast for the last decade. We feel we are the exception rather than the rule. Boats suck money, eat fuel, and are a genuine pain in the ass. Ours has been a blessing, had great fun, and continue to enjoy, without delving deep into our pocket. Can't say you will have the same luck, just know what you're getting. Shop around dude.

My first bike was a Honda XL125S. Learned to hillclimb, slide & crash in the dirt before I ever set wheels on pavement. That weak little bike taught me a lot about riding. Learned to ride on the street w/a Kawasaki KZ650 & a 500 H1 triple. Since then I've had a shit load of Triumphs, BSA's, Norton's, Ducati's, Shovelheads, Pans, Evo's, and BMW's. Still ride a K100 BMW as a daily, w/100,000miles on the odometer. The only serious injury was a broken collarbone, but I still keep my eyes peeled for morons that can't seem to see motorcycles. It's a life long obsession, just try to make it a long one.

Motivation? Good question. I guess getting out of the house & having a check come in. The corporation I work for has no clue how to do business or maintain a customer base. We're just treading water until the doors close, and that's sad. Good thing my wife is a pharmD, however my income is what we use to pay the bills. Hers is what keeps us in style. Speaking of which, time to go in and read the latest company bullshit before starting the workday. Rather stay home, play COD, or do ANYTHING else.
