  1. Many years ago I was in the camera club in High School. Nobody remembers now what it's like to develop, fix, and print pictures from film, but it still brings back a passion. Still have my dad's old Argus 35mm. Have to scan some prints take by it, but here's a few pix I took w/a vivitar 2.3mp while we worked in AK. Always fascinated with piping & horizon shots. That's me, wedged between crude lines.
  2. LOL, sorry for being late. Happy Birthday Frenchi!
  3. D'oh, sorry I missed your Birthday Stamink. Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
  4. Happy be-lated Belle, hope your birthday was wonderful.
  5. Bought a new 1tb hard drive recently. Loaded my legit copy of Win 7 pro 32bit onto it, and downloaded updates, drivers, etc. I'll be dipped, couldn't find my activation key. Tried magic jelly bean, but got a key that was useless. Dammit, called Microsoft, but they didn't care for the key Jelly Bean found, their suggestion was to purchase another copy of Win7. Couldn't get them to sell me another key. Damn. Didn't feel like buying a new copy of Windows 8 64bit, at least not right now. Looked at my old hard drive, but it had failed completely, and couldn't provide any information whatsoever. Damn again, looked like I was going to have to buy another operating system, whether I wanted to or not. Tore my desk apart, because I knew I wouldn't throw away something that important. Found the activation key sticker laying at the bottom of one desk drawer, nowhere near the operating system disks. Changed keys, and Microsoft verified the install. Sigh of relief. DO NOT LOSE that f'ing sticker. Nothing works like the original, and MS isn't sympathetic to excuses. Now I feel comfortable re-installing all my games & programs. Happy New Year!

  12. Thank you, that sounds great Rugger. Thanks Loader!
  13. P.S. don't know how he got out of that pub alive after that skit. He managed to offend just about everything possible.
  14. Here's an English comedian (Stewart Lee) in Glasgow. Check your nationalism at the door, but he's sure funny.
  15. Hollywood is the little bubble where Gwyneth Paltrow & her little unicorn live.
  16. Happy Birthday dadda!
  17. Rest in Peace Dolphin, take care of yourself & your family RIP.
  18. Happy Birthdat Dawgy!
  19. Yep Bart, boot order was correct. Drive is cooked. Ten year old Maxtor, can't complain too much. I like MalwareBytes BlackSmoke, I run it once in awhile along with Hijack this! to see if anything slipped by. I ran AVG for years, but tried Avast, and like it (for the price).
  20. Yeah, boots past the ram. Put the old drive back in alone, and it comes up with BOOT DISK FAILURE operating system not found. I think that drive is kaput. Too bad, so sad......And I really wanted to do some Loader killing today.
  21. Had some time this morning (on a Saturday) to play, so I loaded WAW. Locked up on the "waiting for players" screen, gave up, & re-booted. Had to restart again, and WinDoze said it would repair the errors. Fine, let it run two hours, activity light on the ide side had long since quit flashing, but the Win repair wouldn't let me exit. WTF......Win7Pro32 disk would just say "windows is starting" and die. Loaded Win onto another hard drive, loaded & updated fine. Plugged my other drive in, and it won't even allow booting, let alone trying to read. PartedMagic won't load KDE, only the bash# shell, and complains about an error sum, with an I/O error. Did a boot sector virus get by Avast? Any chance of recovery, or should I just give up?
  22. Fox 32 in the morning for traffic & weather. Used to watch channel 2 Chicago, but after Randy Salerno was killed in a snowmobile accident, the news team was broken up and never the same. Lately, we click on TCM or HGTV, because the network news sux over a cup of coffee.
  23. Happy Birthday Kenman, a little late, just got home.
  24. Take care RIP. We'll be here if you need a distraction, or just want to play.
  25. Most of my conversations with my wife end with "yes Lori Ann". She's happy, and I get to stay moderately contented. Marrige bliss
