  1. It cost me $1,870.00 for the build (parts from Newegg) then I bought a new key board (from Best Buy) that set me back another $130.00...I don't know what it would cost to have a rig like this shop built but I would guess it would cost between 5 to 6 hundred more... :)
  2. Finally I think everything is in order...One more thing checked off my bucket list...Here are some pics of the finished project...
  3. Good luck... :)
  4. I'm a little late in responding here but I also recommend the G-35...I really think you will be happy with your choice... :)
  5. Well after messing around and pulling my hair out I found the problem...Someone plugged the cpu fan plug into the wrong fan header ...
  6. No there is no lcd display on the mobo...According to the Asus manual the beep code I'm getting is " hardware component failure "...That has it narrowed down to just about anything and everything...lol...I guess I'm going to have to start removing things and see if I can locate the problem thru trial and error...
  7. I got everything together and started it up and got post beep then after about ten seconds I got four beeps which indicates a hardware failure...Nothing on the monitor so I changed out vid cards and rebooted and the same thing...All the fans are running and the cpu cooler has power...The ram is fully seated...Anyone got any ideas?...
  8. Ups delivered all my parts today but because of family issues I only got 2hrs. sleep last night so will wait till tommorrow to start the build... :)
  9. Cash?...Hell I didn't have any to begin with...Got to love credit it's the American way...LOL...Thanks for the input BUDMAN...
  10. I'm using a (HP) legacy ps/2 keyboard...My new build doesn't have ps/2 hook ups...A fact that I overlooked...So I'm either going to have to get an adapter or a new Keyboard...Is there a noticeable difference in the response time between the two?...
  11. Thanks for the info guys...It definitely was the power supply...I got the puter back up and running with some old parts I had...It will get me by til the parts for my new build come in some time this week...

  25. hxtr I like what Cavey suggest Bart and love your proposed system. Win7 home is fine. I dont use any of the features in my ultimate. I turn off all the pretty stuff. Looks plain as jane and saves me lots of memory along with all else I turn off. It is boot speed I want and I use just over 500mb on a clean boot. Then again I have zero antivirus/firewall/defender or spyware protection or any other useless software. Nothing runs in my trey but the clock, volume, wifi and the show desktop thing I am going to turn off. I do not suggest you try most of this at home or work. crap i just got a popup again. lol hahahahhaaha Good luck on that machine Black Bart. For some reason people are missing you in the servers. Thanks Buddy...I'm missing being there...
