  1. @@JimpXI Have you been having connection issues? it's just your ping is fine (especially for the UK) and the problem the majority of players are being faced with is their connection through Chicago.
  2. It's not in Paris, I have said that already - the IP is simply owned by a company based in Paris. Thanks for the tracerts - I know it is one of the two Chicago nodes but I need a couple more to confirm and then I can send the info to the host.
  3. Also as well as a tracert a pathping may be useful (same command syntax as tracert).
  4. Just an FYI. The issues are in Chicago not Canada (Definitely not France.. don't believe the country code on that IP) and yes it is a bad hop for the players on the west coast. Although Rugger has asked for all of that nice complicated stuff all we really need is a screenshot of your tracerts to either fosters.xtre.co.uk and/or budweiser.xtre.co.uk as this will display to the host the bad hop. I have been unable to test as my connection is stable so this would help in trying to resolve the problem.
  5. oi that one wasn't me

This is the XI Demo Manager. It is for the Call of Duty series and allows the sharing of Demos between players and admins. Within the program you can easily create key-binds to facilitate the in-game recording and playback controls after. You are able to view, play and upload local demos and also view and download remote demos. To use the application you will need to login to the XI Portal with your website account to access your demo manager authorisation key: https://portal.xtremeidiots.com/ How-To Overview On the left side you see the recordings stored on your PC, ordered by game and name of the demo file. On the right, you see the recordings stored on the server. Playback To play a recording which is stored on your PC, select it and press the 'Play' button. If the recording is stored on the server, select it and press the 'Download & Play' button. If you are missing required files of the mod or map used in the demo, it will automatically be downloaded. During the playback you can use a few keys to speed up, slow down, pause or do other things to the play back. You can configure these keys in the key binds configuration window. After you start a playback, do not close the demo manager!!! The demo manager changes your game configuration file to bind some keys, after the game is closed the application will restore your configuration file. If you close the application while the game is running, you're configuration file will not be restored. Configuration The first time you launch the app, you'll be asked if you want to bind the recording keys. If you click on 'Yes', the configuration window will be opened. If you clicked 'No' or closed the window, you can re-open the configuration window by clicking on 'Edit' > 'Key binds...' in the menu. In the configuration window you can specify which keys perform which action. In the screenshot above you can see my configuration, but you can choose your own keys instead. At the bottom of the window there is a checkbox to hide keys not available in CoD2/CoD:WaW: some keys (most of the alphabet included) are only available in CoD4. If you uncheck this box, you can pick keys only available in CoD4. This means that functions you bind these keys to will not work in CoD2/CoD:WaW. Recording Recording demos is very easy. After you bind the 'start/stop recording' keys in the configuration, you simply press the 'start recording' key while in-game. When you want to end the recording, press the 'stop recording' key. You do not need to have this application running in the background in order to record a demo! Uploading If you have recorded a demo you want to share with other users of this application, select the demo in the demo manager and press the 'Upload' button. If the demo still has a default name (starts with 'demo' ends with a number) you will be asked to rename it before uploading. Please give it a unique and descriptive name so other users can easily see what the demo is about (for example, the name of the user you were recording). Managing Local Demos After you have been using this application for a while, you may end up having a lot of demos stored locally. The application allows you to delete a demo very easily. Simply select the demo you want to to delete and press the 'Delete' button. You can also rename demos. Select the demo you want to rename and press the 'Rename' button.
  7. The domain was registered July 28, 2006 which is when XI became a proper 'clan' rather than being just a group of friends that played. The name originated before that however an exact date is unknown. It would be safe to assume between the release date of COD2 (October 2005) and the registration date.
  8. BIGJERK, simply we need members to be checking the website for clan news. We cannot force you to do it other than making a reasonable request that members visit at least once every 90 days. Otherwise members may not get news such as how Xfire has been removed and replaced with Teamspeak and the like. Warning emails are sent out before the removal with plenty of warning and they include information and steps to regaining membership. We are very flexible with the website visiting requirements as after all this is a gaming community and you can contact ROCKAPE via PM for more info.
  9. Maybe 'idiots' if not then it is most likely a version issue. You could also try looking in the server browser in Steam rather than in the game.
  10. Or, insurgency admins check that any updates have been applied and same goes for the clients.
  11. You should be able to search for 'xtremeidiots' in the tags on the server browser.
  12. Why spend that much money and go Micro-ATX? It just means that there will be space and cooling issues. Better to forget the water cooling and go for a larger form factor.
  13. No there is not a MAC version.
  14. I imagine he is referring to striping?
  15. It is on the TODO list, the change was not carried over when the website moved.
  16. It is a server based service with a single point of failure and reliant on ourselves hosting it which makes it less accessible. Although that could be said of the other solutions raised they have differing protocols to Teamspeak. Teamspeak is geared towards speaking meaning it's feature base for text chat is limited. But I guess you are right, it does meet the requirements in it's own way.. I guess I just ruled it out because of it's service type.
  17. We will need to schedule a senior meeting to discuss it, Steam looks to have the greater amount of players that already have and use it. Evolve looks to be the closest feature replacement to Xfire however is the minority when it comes to who already has it and wants it - similar to Raptr. In the end we want the replacement to cause as little hassle as possible so going with an already widely accepted program would be beneficial. It does seem clear that people would like Teamspeak as a replacement and it was a failing of mine to include it as an option as it does not meet the requirements. However it does show that maybe we should be putting more of an emphasis on Teamspeak. Either way we will hopefully discuss it soon.
  18. Still not sure if you're being serious.. DOS as in Denial of Service
  19. I cannot tell if you are being serious or not lol
  20. COD5 doesn't handle DOS attacks as well as the others, thy lost connection to the master server and then kind of wandered the savannah on their own like gazelle.
  21. I have restarted all the servers and they are now appearing online. We experienced a DOS attack earlier which would be the probable cause.
  22. Last post sums it up. Topic closed
  23. http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-27b0e475-vb264861.html You have an active PBBAN which is preventing you from playing. We cannot process this appeal and as such you would have to appeal to PBBans.com. Appeal denied. Topic closed.
  24. I cannot find any records by that GUID and therefore can only assume that it is your local one. You would need to join a server before you execute the command.
  25. Call of Duty uses a GUID generated from your game key. Your Steam ID is also a GUID but specific to games that use the Steam platform. You can locate your GUID from the game console. (You can Google to find out how).
